Followed me on a run one day and did not leave. Was skinny and malnourished. She is reactive to other dogs and humans but warms up to humans after barking at them. She has done good with my little dog but does not like other dogs outside my home. She is too big for my camper and I have exhausted every option to rehome. She is house trained and will scratch door to be let out. Do not want her to go sit in a kennel at a shelter. Reactive in her cage so I feel no one would want her that way. help please and thanks. She runs with me every day on a leash but will still tug.

I was pretty much skin and bones, but slowly, with much love and nutritional food, they brought me up to my ideal weight.Ive learned to love living indoors and being a pet, but I'm a bit skittish around strangers because of my past life when people werent kind. This beautiful girl is pretty calm and laid back, with bursts of puppy energy. She is doing great with house and crate training. She is learning to sit and to walk on a leash. She is good with dogs and kids, cats are unknown. She is going to be a big girl. This is Tessa, our foster pup, available for adoption through Sand Springs Animal Welfare. Look at that sweet face! She heard that sticks are going to be the "in thing this fall so she likes to carry a cute one around every chance she gets. She is calm and quiet (which is a big deal with my hubby ). She is crate trained, does well on a leash, and is doing very well with basic commands (videos in comments). She has good manners and corrects very easily when she forgets every now and then. She likes kids and gets along well with our bully-mix boy. She hasn't been around cats but does just fine with our 8 pound Havenese so I think she would do ok with cats too. She hasn't had an accident in the house in awhile. She doesn't yet walk to the door on her own to let you know she has to go out, but she follows our dog and goes in/out of the house easily, so she has about got it figured out. She is a GSD mix, about 5 months old and weighs about 40 pounds. Tessa is very sweet and looking for a forever home. If hubby is saying good things about her, you know there is something good there .
