He is about 4-5 yrs old. 58lbs at the time of neuter but thin. He bonds totally to his person and wants to be with them 24/7. SO he needs to be in a home with one female, no men. He acts as though he has been severely abused and has no time for men. I think someone got him but had no idea how to train him. Discipline at the wrong time becomes abuse. He is a scary barker at strangers, so NO neighbors, visitors, or children. He needs someone firm enough to keep him in line but gentle enough to do it with kindness. He is excellent with other dogs, large and small, with no idea about cats, but he ignores most of my farm animals. He will only be placed with someone who has experience with these breeds, and it will take several visits for him to get to know you. He has all the disappointment he needs in his life, and I will keep him rather than place him in a questionable home.  He has been neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, HW neg.  Fee $350https://form.jotform.com/193595080362159 PLEASE! The fee is usually less than the vet work they have had. Thank You for considering adoption. Once approved and an appointment set, I will send directions SORRY I DO NOT SHIP DOGS FOR THE SAFETY AND COMFORT OF MY DOGS I DO REQUIRE ALL DOGS IN THE HOME BE SPAYED AND NEUTERED!   October 21, 2024, 7:37 pm

Story
This beautiful girl is pretty calm and laid back, with bursts of puppy energy. She is doing great with house and crate training. She has learned to sit, walk on a leash and play fetch. She is good with dogs and kids, cats are unknown. She is going to be a big girl. This is Tessa, our foster pup, available for adoption through Sand Springs Animal Welfare. Look at that sweet face! She heard that sticks are going to be the "in thing" this fall so she likes to carry a cute one around every chance she gets. She is calm and quiet (which is a big deal with my hubby ). She is crate trained, does well on a leash, and is doing very well with basic commands. She has good manners and corrects very easily when she forgets every now and then. She likes kids and gets along well with our bully-mix boy. She hasn't been around cats but does just fine with our 8 pound Havanese so I think she would do ok with cats too. She hasn't had an accident in the house in awhile. She doesn't yet walk to the door on her own to let you know she has to go out, but she follows our dog and goes in/out of the house easily, so she has about got it figured out. She is a GSD mix and weighs about 40 pounds at 5 months old. Tessa is very sweet and looking for a forever home. If hubby is saying good things about her, you know there is something good there. Tessa would make a great best friend. She has been spayed, vaccinated and ready to go home today!

Story
You might be looking at me wondering, What breed is that pretty girl? Well, Im actually a rare breed known as a Canine Lovebuginus. If you dont know Latin, thats a dog who loves belly rubs, kisses, snuggles and kibbles. And thats me! So put away those DNA tests and take me home and love on me!Call 918-264-8744 to schedule a time to meet me, or fill out the application to get pre-approved at https://garcok.org/pet-application/ Im sweet and gentle in nature even though I havent always been treated well. As a pup on the street, I was thin, malnourished, and frightened, wandering North Tulsa, hungry and abused. A good Samaritan started feeding me, until I finally let them lead me indoors. Then, they called Grace Animal Rehab Center. I was pretty much skin and bones, but slowly, with much love and nutritional food, they brought me up to my ideal weight.Ive learned to love living indoors and being a pet, but I'm a bit skittish around strangers because of my past life when people werent kind. If you adopt me, GARC will guide you on how to ease that in a very short time.

Story
“Koch” is a high energy, lovable pup. She was roaming our dirt roads for some time before we were able to take her in. We tried to find her possible owners, but have been unlucky. No chip nor information on her health records. We are now trying to find her a good home! From our experience she is crate and house trained. She listens to some commands like sit, lay down, stay. She seems young and hyperactive. We believe she would do great in a home with active owners or experienced owners with similar breed types. We gave her the name “Koch” for temporary purposes. She would make a good addition to our home, but we lack the proper space, and time due to having an infant in the home. This is why we hope to find her a perfect fur-ever homes. Please help us!

Story
Meet Burgers 18-month-old German Shepherd Mix Burgers is a playful, smart, and gentle soul who loves to cuddle. He’s kennel trained and has experience living with kids, making him a great fit for families. Although he’s hyper and goofy, his nature is gentle, and he enjoys spending time with people and other dogs alike. Burgers is not your typical German Shepherd—he’s a bit more reserved than most, but that only adds to his charm. He gets along well with all dogs and loves socializing. Treats and food are some of his favorite things, so training him with rewards will be a breeze! With his energy and enthusiasm, Burgers would make a fantastic hiking buddy. He’s always ready for an adventure and would love to explore the outdoors with you. Burgers has a resilient spirit. He came to the shelter after a rough start, having been hit by a truck and surrendered by a homeless person who cared for him. Despite the accident, he remains cheerful and active, though he has some temporary discomfort in his rear and an occasional limp in his front right paw. The shelter originally tagged Burgers for euthanasia due to these injuries, but he is hyper, happy, and full of love—his gentle nature shines through even when he’s bursting with energy. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving companion who will bring joy and laughter to your home, and be your adventure partner, Burgers is your guy!
