Saige is a shepherd mix. She came to us with her mother who was on a euthanasia list in Ky. We got her out on her last day and she had her pups in the transport van heading up to Ohio. Saige is one of those pups. She is a sweet and smart girl who is ready to find her forever home. We expect her to get around 50 lbs. Her mom was small and bread to a small breed based on her siblings size. She was born on 6.4.2.24 Adoption fee is $395 All dogs are fixed, up-to-date on age appropriate shots and micro-chipped. Jai and her puppies came to us from Kentucky. On the way, the puppies were born on June 4th in the back of the transport van on the trip to A Road Home Rescue in Ohio. Jai is a Sheperd mix, but no idea what father is. Based on litter, may be lab and some form of small terrier in the mix. Adoption fee is $445 All dogs are fixed, come with all vaccines appropriate for their age and micro-chipped.

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Denver. I'm about 10 months old and I weigh about 60 lbs. My friend, Myself (and 3 pups) were picked up by the pound after multiple complaints were made against our owner for letting us run at large. Our owner didn't try to rectify things, nor did they make any attempt to claim us. My friend is heartworm positive and will have to remain here for a while while she undergoes heartworm treatment, but I am a healthy boy (aside from lyme disease which is being treated) and I am able to start looking for a loving family now. I am a very sweet and affectionate boy with people. I will need a little work on my basic manners and basic training, but I am a smart boy and should learn quickly. I have been good around the other dogs here at the pound, but the pound does always recommend meet and greets with any other dogs you own just to make sure we get along well. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Ralphi. I'm about 8 years old (DOB 7/19/2016) and I weigh about 65 lbs. I was surrendered to the pound due to my breeder's health declining with her age. She was no longer able to properly care for us the way she once had before her husband passed away. I had been purchased from her as a puppy and I lived a great life with a family until my owner got cancer and was no longer able to care from me. When he got sick, they asked my breeder to take me back and she happily obliged as she did with all of her dogs, so I do have experience with being in a home. At one point, I was well mannered, housebroken and I loved car rides. I will likely need some refreshers with my training, but I am a very intelligent girl and likely to fall right back into a routine of being a house dog. I have been well socialized with other dogs and puppies and I should do just fine in a home with other dogs. I know I'm not a puppy anymore, but I'd make a great addition to a family and I still have lots of love left to give! Please consider adopting me! Our adoption fee is $152. Story
Venmo to me then to Tonya   Meet Gus! He’s a 1yr old, 50# sweetheart! Within the first 24 hours of Gus arriving, he became very attached and quickly learned my property boundaries. He doesn't roam and gets along very well with both cats and my dog. He would love another playful pup to be best friends with although he doesn’t require one. Initially, he swam in the pond but now prefers just to dip his front feet in. Gus listens well, but I rarely need to give him commands because he is always aware of where his people are and is very attentive. He loves running beside the gator and barks at strangers, which I appreciate, but he is kind and not aggressive toward anyone or anything. His appearance may be intimidating, but he's a gentle soul. Gus doesn't chew on furniture, shoes, or anything else. He is curious but doesn't cause any harm. Gus is an awesome dog—so adaptable and kind. With the constant activity around here, he just hangs out and observes. We spend a lot of time outside at my farm and he loves it. Gus is truly a wonderful companion and would make a fantastic addition to any home! His adoption fee is $400 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. To fill out an application for this animal or a general application click HERE.All animals are up to date on age appropriate shots, microchipped and fixed. To meet one of our animals we require an approved application. You can fill one out at https://tobyscrittercoverescue.org/adoptionapp/ November 4, 2024, 2:16 pm

Story
If you are in the market for an XL adorable dog, look no further! OSU Brutus was DNA tested, and he is indeed a mix of GSD and Great Pyreneese. What a combo! With that being said, I am looking for a home that has experience with guard dogs, because he has shown signs of these guarding tendencies, and a home that will be a great fit for him will be priority. He is house trained, crate trained, and is an all around great dog in the home. He loves playing with his toys, playing fetch, and a kiddie pool is something he finds entertaining on these hot summer days while outside. Because of his guarding tendencies, we are looking for a home with older children only. He should be fine with other dogs in the home with a proper introduction, but has not been around cats. I would love a 6ft fenced in yard for pottying and playtime If you are interested in adopting this handsome boy, please fill out an application at pawsandprayers.org. and feel free to email me and let me know when it is submitted, and or if you have any questions.  His adoption fee is $200, and he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm/flea/tick preventative.    November 5, 2024, 10:55 am
