He was treated with doxycycline which is the typical treatment for tick-borne diseases. He also developed an Immune Medicated Polyarthritis (IMPA) which we believe was secondary to the anaplasmosis. It is imperative Drake`s adopter establish a close working relationship with an internal medicine specialist. Introducing Chance! This incredibly handsome 4 year boy is now available and looking for a loving home. He has been a wonderful house guest, and really just appreciates being in a home and hanging out. He is potty trained and house trained, knows a few commands like "sit", "shake", "come", "in your bed" (crate) and is eager to learn new things if treats are involved. He does pretty good on leash, but does pull a bit occasionally. He has been polite to my 25lb senior dog, and had a blast playing in the fenced in yard with another foster puppy. I am asking for a fenced in yard, or an active family that will get him out of the house for long walks or hikes. No condos or apartments due to him being loud on occasion. He has not been exposed to cats, so I am asking for a home without cats. His adoption fee is $100, and includes all up to date vetting, neuter, microchip, and endless love from Chance!! If you are in the market for an XL adorable dog, look no further! Buck was DNA tested, and he is indeed a mix of GSD and Great Pyrenees. What a combo! With that being said, I am looking for a home that has experience with guard dogs, because he has shown signs of these guarding tendencies, and a home that will be a great fit for him will be priority. He is house trained, crate trained, and is an all around great dog in the home. He loves playing with his toys, playing fetch, and a kiddie pool is something he finds entertaining on these hot summer days while outside. Because of his guarding tendencies, we are looking for a home with older children only. He should be fine with other dogs in the home with a proper introduction, but has not been around cats.
