Story
Adira was found running at large in Memphis and was subsequently brought to a veterinary clinic by a kind MPD Officer. She was severely emaciated and scared. “Addie” as she has come to be known, quickly made herself at home at her Foster’s farm while she gained weight and recuperated. She is now around 65 pounds and estimated to be 2-3 years old. Addie loves to play ball, go on long walks through the woods, run, ride in cars, and snuggle. She is wonderful for baths, tolerates nail trims, and more than anything, just wants to be anywhere her human is. Although she is high energy when the opportunity presents itself, Addie would make a suitable apartment dog for someone who works from home. Her foster family works from home and she spends the entire workday snuggled on her bed beside her foster mom while she works. Addie is kennel trained, but she is a large dog and would not be suited for kenneling all day while family or individual works. Addie will do best with an active lifestyle and plenty of time for play. She does need to be the only dog as she is an alpha female and does not share her humans or her territory. Addie is deeply loyal and very protective. She is friendly to new people if her person is friendly to them. Once adopted she will travel via private transport Rescue Vet (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. Story
Meet DIXIE! 🐾 This adorable girl is just the perfect package!! Dixie found herself, through no fault of her own, in a rural shelter that keep most of their pups outside under tarps and with hay in the winter. One look at that face and we scooped her right up. We were shocked to find out how sweet, loving and gentle this adorable doll was. This amazing girl just loves life and hanging out with her people and dog buddies. She is the first to welcome you home and last to leave your side. She has the perfect energy one is looking for in a dog. Dixie is approximately 5 months and practically out of all those time consuming puppy stages. 💖 Personality: Goofy, playful and energetic. Dixie has a wonderful temperament and gets along great with her foster mates. She is super smart and a fast learner. She will be up for learning any new tricks you might want to throw her way. She is fostering in a home in Memphis, TN and her foster mom would love to tell you all about her. Dixie is going to be great family companion and she is ready to be your new best friend! If you’re ready to give DIXIE a lifetime of belly rubs, treats, and a cozy bed, please reach out! Let’s find this sweet pup the forever home she soooo deserves. 🐶💕 Once adopted she will travel via the Rescue Transport to her new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
We adopted Nala as a puppy from the Dane County Humane Society 7 years ago. She is an energetic, playful dog who loves people and has done well with other dogs in the past. She is looking for a home that can provide her with plenty of exercise and activities. She's a well-behaved dog, with limited skills and training included. She is also crate trained, knows how to "heel", sit, lay down, shake, settle and also can catch a frisbee which she loves playing with. Her other favorite is tug of war. Her high energy levels and requirements for exercise and attention has become a challenge with our newborn baby and we want to find a home that is a perfect fit for her. It is better for Nala that she finds a home that is well-suited for her.

Story
Meet Brodie! Brodie is a fun loving, happy, friendly guy looking for an active and engaging home! Brodie is like a new puppy in a big body; he is missed out on important training and socialization and will need help catching up on those things. Unfortunately this handsome pup has struggled to find his furever family due to his energy level and rambunctious, playful nature. Brodie is going to require a family that can put time and energy into helping him become a well rounded pup, but he will pay you back in a lifetime of love and companionship! Brodie is a rough player and does not always understand his size, so he would do best with children middle school age and older. Brodie does well with other dogs, and if you have other animals in your home we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Brodie home. If you are interested in meeting with Brodie, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Primary Color: Gold Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 70 Age: 3yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
She is very intelligent and knows the Basic Commands. She is easy to train and eager to learn. She is very protective of her person with other dogs. She has never shown any aggression towards humans, but she will go after a dog if she thinks the dog is a threat to her person. The Current Shepherd Parent needs to re home Rubix because she has been attacking the other family dog and the Current Shepherd Parent fears she will not be able to break up the fight when the husband is at work. Rubix is not naturally aggressive, she is just protective. She will attack the other dog when the other dog growls at them for coming through the door not knowing that it is them. Rubix takes that as a threat to her people and she attacks. Rubix needs a NO other dog home and will thrive best with someone home 24/7. She has severe Separation Anxiety and will hurt herself if she is crated by trying to chew out of her crate or confined area. She will thrive best with someone who will train her to Free Roam.

Story
Hilda is very playful and loving, she can be skittish as well. She needs someone who can give her a lot of attention and training. She does have a basic training. She would be perfect match for someone who loves the outdoors and who knows the breed. She is very special and deserves only the best possible owner who can give her an amazing life. Hopefully you are a high energy individual with plenty of time, space, and love for an animal that will reciprocate your love and energy. We prefer someone without other dogs and cats.
