Mugsy is a 7yr old neutered male Shepherd/ Lab mix. He weighs 54 lbs. Mugsy was pulled from our local shelter . He was an owner surrender and the owners claimed to not have enough time for him. Mugsy is a happy and healthy guy. He loves romping in the yard but also settles down nicely and just enjoys hanging out. He is a smart guy who has quickly learned the routine here at the rescue and is very easy to get along with. He is treat motivated and will quickly figure out how to earn the treat. He is learning some manners but will still need some work. He is a great buddy who just needs someone to spend some time with him. He was house trained at one time but then the owners placed him on a chain in the backyard. He might need a little refreshing. He has been fine with children and other dogs. He is not good with cats. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $250. Shafer is a 1 to 2yr old neutered male German Shepherd. He weighs 63 lbs. Shafer was picked up by our local dog warden as a stray. Sadly his family never came for him. Shafer can be a little shy when you first meet him. Once he knows you are going to be kind to him he becomes a loving and loyal friend. He is a great dog who would love a home that will spend time with him. He has been well behaved here at the rescue and is learning several commands. He has a moderate energy level and a great temperament. He seems to be house trained. He has been great with children and other dogs. He was curious about my cat but ignored it after meeting it. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $400. Meet Luna Mae, a sweet and loving 10-year-old German Shepherd mix looking for her new forever home. We’ve had her since she was a pup. Born May 10, 2014, Luna is incredibly well-trained, fantastic with kids (she’s grown up with our 6- and 3-year-olds), and absolutely adores playing fetch. She thrives indoors and loves being around people—she’s 100% a companion dog at heart. Unfortunately, due to downsizing to a one-bedroom home and recent financial struggles, we can no longer provide Luna with the space and attention she deserves. She seems unhappy without room to roam, and it breaks our hearts to see her this way. She’s been a part of our lives for so long, but this is the first time she’s not been happy. She deserves better and we simply don’t have the means to provide that now. A couple of quirks to know: Luna is very food motivated, so she’ll beg and sometimes help herself to food or trash if left unsupervised.
