Story
Nine years ago, an 8-week-old puppy named Nala wiggled her way into my heart and home. From the start, she was a gentle soul with a playful spark—her favorite game quickly became fetch, and she would happily chase after toys with the energy of a puppy discovering the world. But as much as she loved to run and play, Nala’s true joy was found in cuddles. Whether it was curling up beside me on the couch or resting her head on my lap, she always knew how to make every moment feel special. Over the years, Nala has stayed healthy and strong, never having any physical illness. Her days are filled with relaxation, playtime, and snuggles—always eager to be close to the ones she loves. Now, Nala is looking for someone new to share her peaceful, loving nature with. She’s hoping to find someone with the time to enjoy lazy afternoons, cozy evenings, and plenty of cuddles. If you're ready for a loyal friend with a heart full of love, Nala is waiting to meet you.

Story
CassieFemaleAge: 8 monthsExpected Full Grown Weight: 30-40 lbsBreed: German Shepherd- Miniature Hey there, I’m Cassie. I am a super sweet and happy girl who gets along with other dogs. Kids are new to me, but seem like they may be fun after I get to know them. I have not met any cats to know how I would do around them. I am house trained and crate trained – although, if I am in my crate too long I will certainly let you know it is time to get out and have some fun – so a home without shared walls is best for me. I don’t really have any favorite treats because I love all the food. I am a great cuddler and enjoy walks with my humans. Even though I am a petite little lady, I do love my playtime so an active family in a home with a fenced in yard would ensure I can be my best self. I am so excited to find my forever family who will provide me all the love and attention and activity I deserve! If you are interested in meeting Cassie, apply to adopt her at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $350 Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5 or older. ##2189386##

Story
Maeve is a nearly 5 year old (in December) beautiful and intelligent purebred Sable German Shepherd with an impressive pedigree who is, unfortunately, seeking a new environment where she can thrive. Maeve was raised with our two children in a loving household and a big yard to exercise and explore in. She is very healthy, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and never has accidents.  Despite her sweet and affectionate nature, she has unfortunately become overly dominant in her current household, leading to tension with the other dogs. Although we believe she would never bite a human and especially our children we do worry about this behavior resulting in indirect harm if allowed to escalate. This is a very difficult decision for us to make, but we believe it is in Maeve's best interest to find her an only dog home where she can thrive.  Maeve is a loyal and protective companion who loves spending time with her humans. She is well-trained and enjoys walking/running, being outside, playing fetch, and cuddling on the couch. However, due to her alpha tendencies, she requires a home without other pets. Previous experience with German Shepherds may be beneficial for both Maeve and her future parents.  We are hopeful to find the loving lower stress home Maeve deserves. This has been a heart wrenching decision for us that we would not have made if we did not feel it was in Maeve's best interest. She is a strong, beautiful, highly intelligent and loyal protector that we love fiercely and will miss dearly.   Please contact Jarrod with any questions. Story
Aiden (blue collar) is one of a litter of six puppies dumped on a country road. They appear to be German shepherd mixes. The puppies have just turned 3 months of age. They are fairly small and will stay on the smaller side. The puppies were very friendly and well-socialized when they were found, and they are currently in a foster home with 5 other dogs, children, and cats. They have expressed no interest in the cooped chickens on the property, so we think they can be trained to behave with free-range chickens. Their foster mom is working with them on house behavior. Aiden is one of two males. He is a typical playful and curious puppy. He is active and loves playing with toys and his siblings. The fosters' children lug him around like a sack of potatoes. His foster mom says that Aiden is calm, quiet, and gentle. He loves attention but is not pushy. He is great with cats and plays gently with the kitten. This sweet boy deserves a fabulous forever home. He is a puppy that needs guidance, continued socialization, and obedience training. Aiden must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and would like a fenced yard to run and play. Aiden has been neutered and tattooed. He has been vaccinated for rabies and Bordatella. He has received two puppy shots (DAPPvL2) and will receive his third puppy shot on Nov. 8th. He has been started on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Aiden is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. His adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to several scheduled stops in Ohio - including but not limited to - Columbus, Cincinnati, and Akron OH. They are fairly small and will stay on the smaller side. They have expressed no interest in the cooped chickens on the property, so we think they can be trained to behave with free-range chickens. Their foster mom is working with them on house behavior. Emery is one of four females. She is a typical playful and curious puppy. She is active and loves playing with toys and her siblings. The fosters' children lug her around like a sack of potatoes. Emery's foster mom says that she is the friendliest of the bunch. She is talkative and makes little noises that are so cute. Emery loves attention and wants nothing more than to be a family dog. She is great with cats and kittens. She prefers to be inside and is always the first run to run up to you when you get home. This sweet girl deserves a fabulous forever home.
