Story
Meet Matthias. He's a German Shepherd mix who weighs about about 92 pounds. His vet estimated year of birth is 2019. He is named after Matthias Jabs, the lead guitarist for the German band the Scorpions. And just like his namesake our Matthias is sure to be a rock star! Matthias is a great dog! He needs a 6ft fence. Good with most other dogs but likes to play and can be overwhelming for all but the highest energy dogs. He would be fine as an only dog with a very active family. He is good on a leash. His ideal family would have dog experience and be willing to work with him on exercise and daily training.   ~Adoption donation $250. All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and neutered. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Visit www.ruffloverescue.com/adoption to make this pup a member of your family. November 5, 2024, 5:56 pm

Story
Copy and paste to view YouTube video: https://youtu.be/pzVaIBRF5a8?si=eO9bkUyYexhx6lZ1 Freebird was the dog that had been dumped near a busy interstate.  One of our Ruff Love volunteers heard about it, and worked to rescue the dog.  The dog was afraid and wouldn't come to people, so Stacy set a trap.  The dog became accustomed to her being nearby, and after 6 days of patience and love, Stacy was able to get this pup.  She named him FREEBIRD. Freebird has received vet care, good food, patience and love, and now he is ready for his forever home.  He's a German Shepherd mix.  The vet estimated date of birth is 11/22/2022.  He weighs 56 pounds.  He's goo with other dogs.  He's getting used to cats; he is curious about them, but not aggressive. ~Adoption donation $300 . All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and neutered. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Story
Hi! Ruby is a sweet and energetic one-year-old girl. I adopted her from the shelter back in April and have absolutely fallen in love with her, but with my work schedule changing and having other personal matters come up, I am no longer home enough to give her the lifestyle she deserves. She is very active and loves to play outside, and loves to have somebody with her. Currently, she does sleep with me at night, so I would love to see that continue in her future home as she loves to be around people. She loves plushy toys, even though they don’t last very long, and will absolutely steal empty water bottles to play with too. Ruby absolutely loves kids, but she does have a bit of issue with jumping, so that has been something I’ve been working with her on and she has greatly improved.

Story
Found as a down-on-his-luck stray, this boy was so very thin and bedraggled. It has been a pleasure to watch him transform into a healthy & handsome dog. He is most eager for food and treats still, so no small children, please. And, would not recommend feeding or giving treats with other dogs. Definitely cannot leave him alone in a kitchen or with food out! He will counter surf; so, crate him when not at home or supervised...But, his extremely sweet, intelligent demeanor makes for such a lovely companion...He's happiest being right beside someone; a real velcro dog, so do not contact us unless you enjoy a velcro dog right next to you all the time!...Love to see him prance on a walk; has a light-footed gait. NO YOUNG CHILDREN; FENCED YARD REQUIRED; VET'S REFERENCE REQUIRED.November 3, 2024, 5:07 am

Story
This lovely, big boy is sad and bewildered...He was found next to his older, deceased owner, licking her face:( He's been accustomed to a large, fenced property with a pond, so a fenced yard is a must. Am told that he is not good with cats or small dogs. He has not been around children, so older kids only, please.
