Story
Meet Waffles! She's a mixed breed German Shepherd with Chow and Lab (I believe it was). She is super lovable and loves to give the best, furry hugs. Waffles is so very smart – can even distinguish between her red and black bones/balls, very obedient, plays fetch and loves her squeek toys. She was given to us at 6 weeks and she'll be 5 in July. She is a very sensitive pooch and has a very loving personality. She does get a bit skittish with loud noises and has been known to submissive urinate around more aggressive dogs but does great when given a chance to get acclimated to new buddies and environments. Our family is moving soon and we'd love to find a new loving home for "Waff" as we like to call her.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Petfinder Courtesy Post: Meet Rio Rio is a beautiful 6–7 year old black Shepherd mix with a gentle soul and a quiet strength that shines through the moment you meet her. She spent her entire life devoted to her human, who sadly passed away from Huntington’s disease. While Rio was deeply loved, her medical care was unfortunately limited in recent years. She is already spayed, and her current caregiver is working to bring her up to date on her rabies vaccination so she can begin her next chapter healthy and safe. Rio is everything you’d hope for in a companion—mild-mannered, incredibly smart, and wonderfully adaptable. She is great with cats and children, making her a fantastic addition to many types of homes. Even more special, Rio appears to have been trained to assist with tasks like opening doors, likely helping her previous owner in meaningful ways. That intelligence and willingness to help are still very much part of who she is. Rio has lived with another dog, Luka (a blonde Husky mix), but they are not bonded and can be adopted separately. She is now ready for a loving home where she can feel safe, cared for, and cherished again. Location: Raleigh, NC Adoption Fee: $100 Apply here: rainbowbridgerescue.org/adopt Important: This is a courtesy post. Rio is not currently in the care of Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and gentle companion with so much love still to give, Rio may be the perfect match Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2026, 1:47 pm

Story
Our 1-year-old "Lula" She is full of energy, playful, and super affectionate—she loves following you around indoors and being close to her family. She’s potty & crate trained, but needs daily exercise, toys, and mental stimulation to stay happy. - Great with older kids (plays rough) - Can live with cats if introduced slowly - Needs a fenced yard (5ft+ – she can jump!!) - Chews & digs, so toys and activity are a must - Not spayed (required within 30 days after adoption) She’s a loyal, fun-loving companion who thrives with an active, attentive family. If you can provide love, exercise, and a safe home, she’ll be your best buddy and shadow for life!

Story
Meet Hunny :) she is a loving, sweet and kind German shepherd mixed (not sure what she’s mixed with but she is not full GS). She has been with us since 2022 and has gotten along great with my little siblings. She actually was taken in because she appeared at our door step back in September 2022 and we saw she was a gentle little dog and my siblings got so attached to her. We got her fixed, chipped and she’s very well trained. She listens and doesn’t typically have accidents in the house. The reason as to why we’re looking to rehome her is because her main owner (my sister) is starting a job where she is going to be traveling out of state and won’t be coming back for weeks at a time. Most adults here in the household work and have full schedules so being able to take care of Hunny bun will be hard. We are sad to have to let her go but hoping she can reach a loving and caring family :)
