We have had her since she was a baby, she is very sweet but is a protector of the house. She is house trained and listens very well. My job has changed and I work long hours now. I am looking for someone that will give her the same amount of love we have given her since she was a puppy.

Story
Tony is a 8 month old puppy. One of his siblings did a DNA test and they are mostly a mix of German shepherd, cattle dog and pitbull. We don’t anticipate him being larger than 60 lbs full grown. Tony has been in rescue since early May, and we can’t believe he hasn’t found his forever family yet! He is a very good puppy! He’s not overly destructive and listens well. Because of Tony’s past it does take him a little longer to warm up but once he’s comfortable he will come to you and ask for pets.Tony is what we call a dog’s dog, if it was up to him he’d play with his friends all day long! Tony’s ideal home will have a fence for security and another confident dog to show him the way. We know his perfect family has to be out there!

Story
Meet Harper! She is a 1 year old Shiloh Shepherd who weighs 63 pounds. She is a very high energy dog. She will do best with an active family and in a home with a fenced-in yard. She appears to be crate trained and is quiet in her crate after a few minutes of "getting settled." She is very smart and knows basic commands. She walks reasonably well on a leash, but is VERY curious about her surroundings and loves to take lots of "sniff" breaks. She loves to play fetch, but hasn't figured out how to return the ball yet!  A home with no little children is recommended, as she jumps up frequently when she gets excited. She is not cat tested. She is doing well with the large, male, resident dog and tested well with dogs at the shelter.   If you are interested in adopting Harper, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.    **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **    November 19, 2024, 9:15 pm

Story
Luciano is a lovable 1.5-year-old, 80-pound German Shepherd/Poodle mix, ready to find his forever family! He’s fully vaccinated and eager to settle into a home where he can share his boundless energy and love. Taking after his German Shepherd side, Luciano is deeply loyal to his people and home. He absolutely adores being around his humans and is always excited to show affection. However, his excitement can sometimes get the best of him—Luciano is still learning how to manage his puppy energy and, unfortunately, he wasn’t taught how to control his strength. He can be a bit mouthy and whiny, especially when he’s eager to get attention, and he’s working hard with his foster family on not jumping. While he’s still got plenty of puppy energy, Luciano is making great progress. He’s getting better on walks with the help of a no-pull harness and leash. He knows basic commands like "sit," "stay," and "down," and practices them every day, especially when out in public. He’s a smart guy and loves to show off his skills! Luciano’s grooming needs are typical for a Poodle mix—he requires grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep his coat looking its best, but he enjoys being brushed and handled. He recently had a grooming session and didn’t mind it at all. Though he does shed, regular brushing helps keep things manageable. Because of his energy and talkative nature, Luciano would not be the best fit for apartment living. He’s got a lot to say, especially when he’s excited! He’s been great with older children but would not be ideal for families with small children, as he could accidentally knock them over with his enthusiasm. He has not been tested around cats, so we’re not sure how he would do in a home with felines. If you're looking for a fun-loving, smart, and affectionate companion with a bit of puppy exuberance, Luciano might just be the perfect fit! He’s ready for a home where he can continue to grow, learn, and shower his family with love. If you are interested in adopting Luciano, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. Story
Holly is wondering where her forever family is. She's a sweet puppy going on around 5 months old. We think that Holly is a Dutch Shepherd mix or maybe a Cattle dog mix. Holly would love an active family with a fenced in backyard that would give her the appropriate amount of exercise and training. She's not terribly hyper, but puppies need exercise. And just look at those ears! Currently Holly weighs 25lbs and is just the cutest girl ever! If you think Holly might be a good fit for your family, then please fill out the adoption application on our website https://www.pawsitiveimpactncdogrescue.org/adopt ##1883952##
