Story
Jojo is a 3 year old goof ball. When he's not trying to play fetch, he's begging for belly rubs. Looking to re-home Jojo as his previous owner has joined the military and cannot take him with her. He'd do best as an only pet or only big male dog, as he's very good with small dogs and good with cats (we do have to get on him for chasing the cats, but he's never hurt any animals smaller than him). I'd keep him, but he doesn't get along with my husky, so I'm looking for a great home where he'll get the attention he deserves.

Story
Piper is a VERY energetic dog, she is 8 months old weighing about 36 pounds. She is German Shepherd mixed with something else (the shelter didnt know) but i am going to assume beagle because of her small size! She needs A LOT of attention and many walks and runs, unfortunately she does not get along with other dogs that well and if she does it takes a long time for her to warm-up to them. She needs some more house training, but she does know how to sit, stay, shake, and spin around as well as how to play fetch! If you are looking for a very fun, playful, loving puppy Piper is definitely for you!!

Story
Duckie is looking for her forever home! This pretty girl is came to HSEC a couple months back after being surrendered with her brother at Craven Pamlico Animal Services. We met Duckie at the shelter and absolutely fell in love with her, and knew that someone else would too! ???Duckie is looking for a home that can dedicate a lot of time to her training. This pup is not only pretty, but being a 7 month old Belgian Mallinois mix means she is going to be a handful and a half. We are hoping that Duckie can find a home that is ready to work with her on her leash skills and manners. This pretty girl needs a lot of stimulation and attention, which is not a surprise considering her breed. We recommend that potential adopters who are interested in Duckie research a little bit about her breed before committing to her in the home. Duckie does well on a leash, but is still working on her manners. We think that with proper training and a structured routine that Duckie can be house trained easily. Duckie is also still working on crate training, but does really well when given a bone in the crate.Interested in adopting Duckie? Our adoption fee for dogs is $200.00. This fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip, dewormer, and consistent heartworm and flea prevention before leaving the facility.
