Story
UPDATE: MUST BE REHOMED BY THE 25th! Archie is a senior German Shepherd mix that was near death and rescued from a neglectful owner. He was severely malnourished and dehydrated to the point of being unable to stand or function on his own. After he started to recover he was placed for adoption at the Catawba Animal Shelter. We adopted Archie after 2 visits including a meet and greet with our other dog hoping to be his forever home, however we learned that a safe home for Archie means being the only pet, or at least the smallest one. He is a perfect buddy for someone who would like some quiet company, a walking or shop buddy and he loves car rides. He sleeps in a crate at night. He will come with all of his supplies.

Story
Margot is a purebred German Shepherd born 5/30/21.. She is sweet but hasn't had much physical love. It appears that she was left to her own devices most of the time. She wants your attention and gets really excited and wants to bowl you over when you try to play with her. She is not sure what toys are and has no clue how to play with them. Margot is super smart and is totally trainable she just needs a little patience to learn. She is young and very energetic. She would probably do best in a home without small children. She isn't aggressive or bad with kids just very rough so probably would not be good with really small ones. She is NOT good with cats. She is a big girl weighing in between 75 and 80 pounds. Does well on leash. Is house trained and crate trained. Likes to ride and go for walks. Margot is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Adoption Fee $350.00 Margot is a Mercy Hero Dog Mercy Heroes are special fosters who have a higher adoption fee than others, due to their breed. This higher fee helps us offset the cost of extra medical care other fosters need when they are taken into rescue. Mercy Heroes allow us to do our best to never turn away any animal in need. Story
I'm Aubba, yeah I know that's a weird name but my foster Mom says that I screamed that at her for days when I was first rescued. See I'd been running around loose getting the road and causing trouble so I didn't much like being confined inside. Oh boy was I wrong being inside and loved on is totally amazing. My Dad is a German Shepherd and my Mom is a Mountain Cur. Guess I get my stubby tail from her. It may be a kinda weird looking little stubby but it wags all the time. I get excited and it just starts moving and I just can't help myself. I was born around May 23, 2024. I'm crate trained and working on house training. I'm doing good if I do say so myself. I've had my first puppy vaccine and it hurted my tushy. I've been de-wormed whatever that means. I'm ready for my forever home with Hoomans to spoil me rotten. Is that you? Adoption Fee $100.00 DOB 5-23-24 Adoption Application: mercyrescue.org

Story
My foster Mom says my name is Norbert but I think it's Off because that's what she is always telling me. I don't like off, I want to be as close as possible to you so that I gets lots of love. My life goal is to be loved... I'm a goofy happy go lucky kinda guy. Mom says that she can hear galump galump when I walk. I am a bit clumsy but I don't think I make that noise when I walk. I think it's just these big ole feet getting in the way. German Shepherd/Plott Hound mix born March 9 2024. Up to date on Vaccines and de-wormed Neutered Adoption Fee $175.00 Adoption Application: mercyrescue.org
