Story
Remy is soon to be `paw-roled` from our Paws in the Pen program in partnership with the New Mexico Corrections Department! Each dog is paired with two inmate trainers and enrolled in an 8-week training program that is designed to equip the dog with a nice foundation of training that will help them succeed in their new home. Each of these dogs will go home potty and crate trained with a whole list of cues and basic behaviors; to ensure a successful adoption, we are providing four training sessions to adopters, so you can learn what your dog knows, and an invitation to weekly discounted drop-in classes. These dogs also go home with a biothane leash and collar, 6 months of heartworm prevention, are fully up-to-date on all vaccines and medications, and are spayed and neutered. If you`re looking for a handsome boy, with the slightest, adorable little underbite...then Remy is your guy! He is energetic and playful, and can be gentle and sweet. He smiles when he sleeps, and loves to be near you. He fancies himself a lap dog, and his inmate handlers are often found on the floor providing said laps :) He is doing great in his training, is good with kids and cats, and loves to play with other dogs. Remy can`t wait to find his forever home!

They`re just as soft as you might imagine, and Hazel loves a good ear and head massage. She`ll melt right into you for a good cuddle and belly rub. Hazel is the sweetest girl with a very calming energy, and she can have a silly & bouncy play side to her as well. She is an angel on leash, and is a no fuss dog when she is out and about. Hazel will bond with her people strongly, and can`t wait to have a home that is fun, safe and full of love!

How handsome is Blanco? We love his unique look and inquisitive eyes. Though he`s a little nervous with his new surroundings, Blanco is curious to explore on walks, likes to run around the yard, and is even figuring out how to play with other dogs. A fan of cuddles, Blanco is ready to find a forever home that will make him feel safe and secure, take him on adventures, and snuggle up at the end of the day.
