Story
**Meet Emmett! **  A truly handsome one year old German Shepard mix boy that weighs 64 pounds and who might be headed back to the shelter soon when his foster time is up. Emmett is an affectionate, playful pup who’s ready to find his forever family! In just one week with his foster family, this sweet boy’s personality has blossomed, and we know he’s going to be an amazing companion.  &#226&#156&#168 **What Makes Emmett Special?**  He's a Training Superstar that is housebroken, leash-trained (with a little room for improvement), and already knows how to sit! He’s working hard on learning new tricks and good manners.  Emmett is also a superstar at playing and cuddling. He loves exploring the great outdoors, playing with other pups, and snuggling up with his favorite humans—anytime, anywhere!   **Kid-Friendly**: Emmett is gentle with children under 10, making him a great addition to families of all ages and sizes.     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 19, 2024, 4:27 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. RHEA was saved on 21st September from southern Maine heavily pregnant and the night we got her to the rescue was the night she gave birth to 8 previous puppies. She is located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine. She has been a great mama to the pups and is scheduled to be spayed, get her rabies and heartworm/tick test on 25th November after which she will be ready to go to start her new life with her wonderful family. Rhea is incredibly sweet girl and is just desperate for love and attention to the point where she can be a bit over-bearing and needy, however, I am sure when she is with her own family and has settled in and understands that she will now be getting all the love she will ever need, she will get a lot better. She does cower a lot so I am not sure if she has been subjected to any abuse but other than that she is extremely affectionate. She has been great with other dogs and lives in a communal setting and has been with both males and females. She does get a little jealous if the other dog is getting attention, but she is learning to understand that sharing is good. She likes to hoard all toys and of course loves things with squeaks. We do not know anything about this sweet girls history and so we just want to start her new future with an amazing family who can give her a loving, active, life full of adventure, great food, toys and treats. We do not know how she is with cats or other creatures, and although she has not been around small children, other than he wanting to be the center of attention, and wanting love I have no concerns as long as the children are respectful to her. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.      She does need an active family who will ensure she gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that she needs to live a happy fulfilling life. RHEA has an adoption fee of $550 Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. Story
Mystery and Black dog are a bonded pair. Mystery prefers the company of other dogs. She’s not affectionate but LOVES playing fetch and going on walks! Black dog is the definition of lazy. His idea of exercise is moving from the bed to his food bowl. We'd prefer them to be the only dogs in the home just because they share such a strong bond!

Story
Finn is a loving, well-mannered dog who is fully leash and off-leash trained and responds well to commands. He loves being outdoors, whether it's running on the beach or hiking in the woods, and is a cuddle bug at home. He's great with other dogs and enjoys meeting new people, including children he's met outside the home. However, since the arrival of our first baby, Finn has struggled to adjust to the changes in our household. With another baby on the way, we feel Finn would thrive better in a home without young children, where he can receive the attention and stability he needs to feel secure and happy. We love Finn dearly, and it breaks our hearts to consider rehoming him. He's an affectionate, loyal companion who deserves a loving, calm home. If you're looking for a sweet, well-behaved dog and have a child-free home, Finn could be a perfect fit for you.

My name is Phoebe and I'm the beautiful 1yr old female German Shepherd. I am located near Nashville TN and will be available for transport. My mom, sister (Rachel & Monica - adoptable) and I were dumped in Cedars of Lebanon National Part left to fend for ourselves. Thankfully a deer hunter saw us and came to our rescue. He got us completely vetted and brought us to the safety of IDGSR! 1. You may notice in my pictures that I have the most striking brown eyes! They are one of my best features, if I don't say so myself :) 2. I am sweet, affectionate, and starving for attention. I don't know what I did to deserve to be dumped but I am still open to love and trust from hoomans. 3. I would love to learn some obedience commands. I've heard it will help us bond and prove to everyone I'm the smartest and bestest girl around. If you have yummy treats, I'll catch on super quick. 4. I am friendly with other dogs! I would love to have a nice male pupper to play with in my new home. 5. I desperately want a loving family to call my own. If you have kids, I will do fine with ones over 10yrs old. 6.
