Story
We are seeking a permanent home for Luna, our 4 year old German Shepherd mix we took in after my parents passed away. Luna needed a home immediately, so I brought her into mine hoping it would be a good fit. However, we currently live in an apartment with a busy lifestyle and a three year old cat. Luna deserves a family who can give her the attention and care she needs. Luna is a wonderful companion. She is loyal, great on walks, has a good temperament and a strong foundation. She recently completed a three month board-and-train program at a ranch and thrives with structure and clear leadership. A bit more about Luna: 4 years old Very loving and loyal. Professionally trained and responsive on leash. Place-trained ('bed' command). Crate trained. Naturally protective. Enjoys having a sense of purpose and direction. Does well around other dogs with proper introductions. We care deeply about finding the right long-term home for her and want to ensure she's set up to thrive.

Story
We acquired Zena in January 2025 from some friends after Zena wandered onto their farming property outside Fresno, California. After several weeks when her owners could not be located, we were asked to take her as we had another German Shepherd rescue. We took her to our Vet and they believed she was under a year old when we got her. She had one heat cycle in June 2025, and then was spayed in August 2025. Currently we believe she’s about 1 1/2 - 2 years old. The two dogs got along great for the first 5-6 months , but then Zena no longer liked our other shepherd and started being aggressive towards him. Zena is very smart, has a big personality and alert all the time. She is great around kids and gives great hugs and kisses. She is house and crate trained, knows some commands and is working on polite leash walking. She is reactive to some other dogs so a proper introduction would be good. She loves to run and go on hikes so an active family or person would work very well with her!

Story
CURRENTLY IN FOSTER IN SAN DIEGO     -Crate trained -Potty trained  -Walks well on leash and knows all essential commands.  -As he is still a puppy, with that he is curious about everything and can have some fear leash reactivity to other dogs, but handles corrections very well and settles quickly. As of now, it is only on occasion, (recent example: nighttime walk with a passing dog with a light up collar). -He has solid recall on leash to redirect or heel and respects boundaries well.  -He is learning the size of his big body and is so incredibly gentle, but a goof on occasion, as he should :)! -He lives beautifully with his 13 year old black lab brother. He is gentle, patient and kind towards him. Such a love! His foster mom gave a slow and structured intro over about a week and they became besties!  -Gus lives with other neighboring dogs of all sizes and ages and minds his business. He has gone on a couple of out of town vacations with his foster mom and needs structure through his safe space crate but loves the adventure and does well in the car. -His foster mom has prioritized cooperative care and he takes his grooming wonderfully and loves his morning/afternoon and evening snuggles! He doesn’t miss an opportunity to get some love &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143!  -Gus will be the family protector and bestie and would thrive with anyone who understands how intelligent and sensitive Anatolian/Shepards are. There is no fooling them &#226&#152&#186&#239&#184&#143.   -Gus has so much love to give and would do best with anyone with a moderate to active lifestyle. He is also an excellent homebody! His foster family has helped Gus build confidence to settle and entertain himself with enrichment toys while learning self regulation. He is perfectly content with a 30-60 min walk once a day, adequate potty breaks, some lovin’, and a good honey collagen hide.  -Great with kids, tested 4 and up. Gus is always curious, but submissive and gentle around all other babies/kids, but only tested with 4 and up. He’s a huge (95 lb) puppy and is still learning his body/size .   March 16, 2026, 5:30 pm

Story
This is what Sadee's foster parents have to say about this sweet girl. "So far she has liked every person and every dog she’s met, she’s very playful, just a big puppy really. She needs more dog friends, she wants to play and she plays like a puppy, a little mouthy when she’s excited.  Her personality is sweet, she’s very very gentle. She would love a family with another dog who likes to play. She loves to travel and is really an amazing dog!" One year old | Belgian Malinois | Saved from the euthanasia list in Southern California Sadee is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. From the moment she was saved off the euthanasia list in Southern California, she has shown nothing but gentleness, sweetness, and gratitude for every second of safety she’s been given. She quickly caught the eye of volunteers — and then the heart of her amazing foster in the North Tahoe area, where she’s now living her very best mountain-dog life. Think alpine air, trails, snow days, lake days… Tahoe truly is a dog’s playground, and Juliana fits right in. Our hope is that her forever person is also here in the Tahoe region — someone who loves adventure, nature, and a loyal best friend by their side. Sadee is young, affectionate, and ready to start the life she was so close to never getting.    March 16, 2026, 5:30 pm
