Story
Meet Azilia, a sweet and curious mixed-breed girl (your guess is as good as ours!) who’s slowly but surely coming out of her shell. When she first arrived at the shelter, Azilia was shy and unsure of her surroundings—but with time, patience, and gentle care, she’s beginning to show us her true personality. We’re still getting to know this lovely lady, but we can already tell she has a gentle spirit and plenty of potential to blossom in the right home. If you’re looking for a dog to grow and bond with, Azilia might just be the one. Come by the shelter, take her for a walk, and see if she’s the missing piece to your family!

Story
Fetti is a stunning young husky/shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a whole lot of potential just waiting to be discovered. He was recently surrendered by his family, so he’s already familiar with home life—housebroken and longing to be part of a family again. Fetti gets along with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion or two. He’s not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is best for this handsome guy. What Fetti needs most right now is stability—a calm, patient home where he can take the time to settle in and truly shine. Once he feels secure, his sweet personality begins to blossom, showing off his loyal, playful, and gentle side. If you`re looking for a loyal companion who just needs a second chance, Fetti might be your perfect match. Come meet him—you might just find your new best friend.

Story
Rambler is a sweet dude! He will instigate problems with other dogs through the fence and has asserted dominance with dogs, both male and female. Does well will older children (energy might be too much for small children). Very sweet friendly dog, with strangers and friends alike. He tends to get nervous around farm animals and barks at them. He walks nicely on a leash. He can be unsafe with smaller animals including cats (activates his prey drive). Rambler is quiet; he has shown very little barking since he's been here. He does not jump fences. Please visit our website www.beaverheadas.wpengine.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Meet Rauser!Rauser is our big, goofy 100-pound boy who still believes he’s a puppy at heart. He’s full of charm, silliness, and enthusiasm, and he’s been making huge strides in the training protocol we have him on. He’s learning his boundaries more and more each day—though he may still occasionally refuse to come inside if he’s having too much fun outdoors!Rauser is looking for someone who can appreciate his playful, rough-and-tumble style and can comfortably handle his XL size. Underneath all that energy, he’s an incredibly sweet, loving dog who’s guaranteed to brighten up your day with his big personality and even bigger heart. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will keep you smiling, Rauser may just be your perfect match.

Story
This beautiful 2-year-old girl named Susie was saved just in time from euthanasia at Downey ACC by @savinggizmosfriends in partnership with @grandmasbarnrescueandsanctuary . She is an is an independent, adventurous girl who loves the great outdoors. ☀️ She’s only 53 lbs. She’s sweet., dog-friendly and she’s doing her best to trust again. Susie was found as a stray and was so shut down in the shelter. Quiet, scared, pacing softly in her kennel. The world felt like too much… until the right people saw her, and said: “Not today.” She still needs a patient long-term foster or even better - a forever home. One thing’s for sure — Suzie is not a “crate life” kind of dog. She thrives with freedom, fresh air, and humans who understand her confident, spirited nature. She’s scared at first and howling needs time to warm up but once you gain her trust, she’s pure love. She needs someone patient, gentle, and kind. If that’s you, please reach out. Currently being in a temp foster home, but still seeking a longterm or permanent place to land.
