Adopt Ahsoka Ahsoka had at least two litters and eventually found herself in a small shelter (her last litter of puppies are in our rescue.) She was on the euthanasia list. All it would take is one dog to come in and her life would be over. We worked to find her a foster so her precious life wouldn't end because she had no place to go. Now, Ahsoka is in a foster home! You would never know she has been through so much. She is just the sweetest and so smart. She's working on gaining weight and loves to eat, but takes treats gently from your hand. She ADORES her foster's 8 year old daughter and knows to be gentle when they play. She's good with other dogs too and couldn't care less about cats. She's working on getting more comfortable in the car and learning where her place to sit is. She is kennel and potty trained and walks well on a leash. Her adoption fee is 300$. This covers cost of spay, microchip, rabies vaccine, 3 rounds of distemper/parvo vaccine, rabies vaccine, 2 rounds of leptospirosis vaccine, dewormer, bordetella vaccine, and she's been on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

He tries to play with the family cats, but he has the attention span is of a gnat and within 3 seconds he's off on another adventure!! Walter is a 4 year old White German Shepherd. He has had a ruff ride in his short time. This guy was confined to a kennel for 23 hours a day for the past few years. The owner finally agreed to turn over custody to A.R.F. for his chance at a better life! He's an angel boy. He loves his foster people, his foster dog brothers, he doesn't bother the family cat, & lives for visitors. Walter is fully vetted & Heartworm negative! His adoption fee covers Neutering, Rabies, ALL Vaccinations being UTD upon adoption, 30 days of Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, Transferable Microchipping, plus the expenses for A.R.F. to get him adoption ready. He walks ok on a leash. Is fully house trained in foster home (no accidents since learning the back door signals) He loves his bath time. He allowed his nails to be trimmed & buffed by Foster mom. Athena was rescued from a house fire when she was only 3 weeks old. She is super friendly, great with kids and super loving. She does so well with our 20-month-old and he loves her to pieces. The only challenge we have had with her is getting into the trash and not using the bathroom all the time outside. We also do not always have a lot of time to train her as we are gone 90% of the time. She would probably do great on someone who has open land or even their own backyard. We also cannot house her for very much longer as her ESA letter has expired and we cannot afford to keep renewing it. We hate to have to rehome her but we also want to give her the best life possible and I don't think we can with how busy we are. We hope to find her a home that will love her as much as we do.

Spayed Female Age: 3-5 Size: 55-65 lbs Jambalaya was rescued from life on the streets where her previous owners left her outdoors to roam downtown kansas city and did not provide her shelter or care. Neighbors saw that she was losing her hair and looked thin, so they contacted us to step in. We were able to get her signed over to our care and have begun treatment for her mange which was the cause of her hair loss. Jambalaya is very sweet, affectionate, loves walks, and loves snacks! She has tested well with dogs around her size and would love a home where she can be a couch potato! She is fairly laid back as long as she gets her regular walks and outside time. She does get anxious in kennels and would love a home with someone who could be home with her more often than not, or would take her along on adventures! Fern is an incredibly smart and lovely Husky/German Shephard/Saint Bernard mix, but I unfortunately need to rehome her due to my chronic illness clashing with her high energy, as well as financial issues. She’s incredibly smart and food motivated, picking up on tricks and commands very quickly once the groundwork is laid, especially with regular training sessions. She loves getting cuddled and doing puzzles, because anything that can get the gears in her head turning is a big favorite to her. She does need more socialization with other dogs, and has some issues with jumping, and we’ve been working on it, but that might cause difficulties if you have kids. She loves going on walks, and does fairly good on leashes, along with loving chasing toys in big backyards. She’s still young, and with the proper love, socialization, and training she could be set up for success and be the smartest companion you could ask for.
