Story
** NO YOUNG CHILDREN ** Meet Cashaw, he is a terrific dog. We think he is a shepherd/husky mix maybe and he has one half brown half blue eye. He is about 2 years old and weighs about 60 lbs.  His owners surrendered him because they said they didn't have enough time for him anymore. They had him since he was a puppy. He lived with 3 kids. He is also good with other dogs. He would love a fenced in yard and to go hiking or running.  He is well behaved and is housebroke and crate trained. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Cashaw’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Sherman is a big love at 90 lbs and a rescue favorite! He is housebroken, easy going, loves walks, plays with toys and cuddles. He is an all-around great dog looking for a chill household to enjoy his golden years in. As most GSD he has hip dysplasia in left hip and this has caused some right front leg arthritis but with his supplements and pain meds that doesn't stop him from having a good time. He currently is getting monthly injections for pain which is the cheaper route. He is good with dogs but would prefer to be the one and only as he only has eyes for his people.  Poor Sherman was surrendered by family members when his mom got dementia and fell and hurt herself. He laid by her bed and was protective of her and the family felt it best to rehome him. His crime was loving her too much and being a German Shepherd!  If you can handle being loved that much, apply today! If you are interested in meeting Sherman, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Sherman ’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. Story
Meet Seren Sadie a medium sized girl with a beautiful reddish coat. She is dog friendly and would love to have a dog friend in her new home. Sadie has not been cat tested, so not sure how she would do with cats. SHe would do great with older considerate kids.   Sadie has medium energy. She likes being outside, but wants her person to be outside with her. Sadie also enjoys walks, and does walk well with a harness.   House and crate trained. She prefers being crated at night near her people. If you would allow her to sleep with you even better.   Sadie rides quietly in the car. Sadie does have some stranger danger, and is leery around new people at first. She does best when visitors just ignore her and let her come to them on her terms. She does bark at new people and sounds, so may not do well in a apartment setting    Sadie is a really sweet dog but needs someone who will be patient with her and give her time to trust her new family. Once Sadie is comfortable with you, she will be your shadow. She is not much of a snugglier, but does like to be near you. Sadie really likes chicken as a treat, which can be used to build trust. With time and treats Sadie will be the perfect companion!     If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
