Mazie is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. She does best with routines and tends to pickup habits quickly. She is a big cuddler and loves to be close to people. She has been living with two other dogs and does great with other animals. She loves to play ball and would thrive best in an active home where someone could be with her a majority of the day. She is potty trained, spayed and up to date on all of her vaccinations. She was previously rescued by a police officer who found her on the streets. It was believed that she was previously in a loving home because she was found well nourished and trained. I adopted Mazie from the Animal Humane Society this past spring and she has been living in a home with a large yard the past few months. Mazie would love a fenced in backyard but this is not required. She would do best with an active family that will give her the exercise and stimulation she needs. Who has four paws, the softest fur, the sweetest soul and loves to cozy up with her people?! Why it’s me, Stella Jane! My favorite things in the world are spending time on the couch with my foster mom and dad, playing with my foster dog siblings, and hoarding my toys and bones on my spot on the couch. If your idea of fun is to hang out on the couch and binge watch Netflix or catch a nice long sports game, then I am your girl! I am a nervous girl, I don’t really care to be outside on my leash or around people I don’t know. You see, the world used to be a very scary place for me. But now that I am in Minnesota with my foster mom and dad, I am learning that I don’t have to be scared! It is taking me a while but my foster mom always ensures me I will never not have a cozy couch to relax on ever again! My future family will need to be patient as it takes me a while to get used to strangers. Hi there! I’m Collins, and I’m 49 lbs of pure love! I absolutely love getting face, neck, and belly scratches, and in return, I’ll give you the best kisses. My foster mom says I’m a trustworthy and obedient guy. I listen well when she tells me “no.” I get along great with the other dogs in the house and stay calm around them. She says I’m more on the submissive side, which means I’m easygoing and friendly. I love lounging on the couch (if I’m allowed) and watching the world go by out the window.I walk gently on a leash and I’m housetrained, which makes me a great companion. I’m also working on learning the “sit” command, and I’ve already picked it up quickly! Treats and food make training even easier, so I’m excited to keep learning.If you're looking for a little extra love this season, I’d be so happy to be part of your family. Calista is a beautiful, crazy, playful, rambunctious 2 year old German Shepherd. Found out in the woods in Rio Grande Valley with her mom and sister fending for themselves and trying to survive the coyotes. She was very skittish when she arrived at the rescue, and at times can still be, but she has come a long way. She gets excited and does a crazy spin in her excitement. She loves playing with other dogs, loves treats and playing with her foster siblings. She really needs a patient person who knows the breed and is willing to work with her and have the dedication to wait until she shows her very silly side :) Her foster mom has learned her secret- treats and smelling like hot dogs/ peanut butter helps! Calista loves other dogs and gets along great with her foster homes pack. She is playful and energetic with them. Sometimes maybe too energetic as she can be an escape artist and find even the smallest of holes in the fence to see if she can fit and make a b-line to the neighbors house! Calista will need to stay local to Texas for the time being. Each day she is gaining confidence and understanding and realizing that people are not all mean and that there ares some out there that really do love dogs and want nothing but goodness for them.
