Story
Sweet, loving little Bentley, a typical terrier! Loves to run and jump like a gazelle in the yard. He is a hunter, though, so be sure the yard has no visitors like chipmunks, groundhogs, rabbits, etc. before he runs free. Like all terriers, Bentley is active and quick-moving. However, he is also responsive to directions; in fact, Bentley is very sensitive and affectionate and is eager to please. Unfortunately, for unknown reasons, he is terrified of men. We are working on this trust issue, but he will most likely be comfortable only in an all-female home. Bentley eats ravenously with a slow feeder dish, sleeps all night, and is completely housetrained. He rarely barks, is fine alone for a few hours, and is not destructive. What more could you ask for? Bentley is a real mix of breeds! His foster ran a DNA test on him and it came as 18% Chihuahua 16% Chow chow 11% Rottweiler 11% German Shepherd 10% Shih Tzu 6% Doberman Pinscher 5% American Cocker Spaniel All other small percentages: Lhasa Apso, Keeshond, American Eskimo, American Pit Bull Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier, Toy Poodle, Border Collie, Shetland Sheepdog, Standard Poodle! If you are seeking a loving little companion, who will enjoy the outdoors with you, and then snuggle up beside you, Bentley is your guy! Just like the high-class car that shares his name, he is a high-class boy! Sadly, she was turned in as a stray, even though she appears to have lived in a home before. She is very well mannered and her intelligence is impressive. She is smart, eager to learn and to please, and even knows some commands. Her social nature makes her a friend to all,  human and canine alike. In addition, May is house trained and will stay in a crate.  May is patiently waiting to bring joy and companionship to her forever home. Could it be yours? Why not submit an application today and change this beautiful girl's life for the better!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. I was rescued, along with my sister Pup Valerie, by K-9 Lifesavers from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. Because there have been so many recent changes in my life, I am shy. I warm up quickly if there is another dog around. I would really like to find a home with a confident and welcoming dog to show me the ropes. I'm a sweet and loving pup just looking to find my forever home. Could that be with you? At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization too. I promise to be the best friend you've ever had. Adopting me would mean endless love, companionship, and a loyal friend. I can't wait to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
I`m in a FOSTER HOME! To meet me with me, please email my foster at kriskill.hasse@gmail.com.This sweet old lady loves naps on soft beds in between short bouts of play with her foster siblings.  She is in a home with medium and large dogs ranging from 1-14 years old, young and old cats, and an 11-year-old child.  She`s sweet, appears to be potty trained and loves some good scratches.  She has shown no interest in eating anything other than dog food and appears to be anxious about being confined, even in a bedroom.  She has done well out in the house on her large bed during the day.  Imogen would love to find some adopters that have the time and resources to get her all the care she needs. She has some stiff joints (who doesn’t these days!) and would appreciate a home with few or no stairs please. If you love the oldies, this girl is for you.  While she may have some arthritis, she`s got lots of love to give in a quiet and gentle manner.

Story
*Needs new home immediately* Dingo is high energy, very intelligent, and a loyal companion. He does not seem to understand social cues from other dogs. This is the primary reason we are rehoming. He has taken obedience classes and understands sit, down (lay down), stay (lay down position), and focus. He is currently prescribed a flea and tick monthly chewable.

Story
Our beautiful girl is called Kassidy and had a pure German Shepherd momma and dad was a pure Great Pyrenees.  Born on 11/4, this girl is ready for a new home and will be such a wonderful companion for a family.   She is going to be a large girl when fully grown and has the best temperament that is gentle and shy and very smart.  Her curiosity is so sweet to see and what a lover she is when you call her to you for some attention.  You see the first 9 weeks of her life she got little to no attention from the man who owned their GSD Momma.  We are making up for that time now!  The combination of  the German Shepherd intelligence and devotion and the kind gentle spirit of the Great Pyrenees makes a special puppy to consider for your family.  We require that you have Shepherd or Great Pyrenees experience and a fenced yard.  No condos or apartment homes for this large breed and roaming oriented breed of puppy.  She will be a great family pet that will enjoy the company of children, other dogs and even cats.  We anticipate her grow up to be a 80 pound girl when fully grown up!!!   And of course she will be a head-turning beauty!  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    She is ready for a new life and loving family NOW!!!!! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 28, 2025, 9:28 pm
