Lola is a 3 year old female German shepherd mix with some husky in her. I got Lola from a relative when she was 8 weeks old. Looking for a better home for her, she deserves a loving family or loving individual. She loves walks and can entertain herself with rope. She will let you know when she needs to go outside. She’s good with kids and she likes to play outside, she plays fetch and she knows a few tricks too. She sits, gives paw, gives high fives, lays down and jumps when instructed. But she not always high energy she also enjoys cuddling up on the couch and sleeping. She’s also crate trained and does not have food aggression. I tried to educate her as best I could.

We adopted Freya about a year ago when we had a larger home and a little more land. We recently moved to be closer to family, downsized, and had a new baby so having a dog on top of how busy we are makes it very difficult to give her the love she deserves. We are looking for someone who is used to working with dogs and can work well with a husky/shepherd mix. She's a wonderful dog but has her breed quirks such as the husky howl and protectiveness of a german shepherd with a loud bark. She would do best in a home with other dogs to keep her company when you leave but it does take her a few days to warm up. Freya knows the basic commands such as sit, stay, come, down. She is smart, loving, and loyal and all around just one of the best dogs you could ask for.

When we fostered Teddy (Ted Mosby), we didn't go through a rescue. Instead, we told a friend that we would foster him, get him neutered and chipped, and find him a home. Unfortunately, we have some upcoming medical procedures that won't allow us to keep a large, teenage dog, and they're coming up quickly. Teddy is a 74lb 11-12 month old mix of German Shepherd, Australian Shepherd, pit, and another 9 breeds. He's a gorgeous beast and we've started him with training. He's come a long way since June after being left on the street in 102 deg. Teddy is wicked smart. He's a super confident dog, medium drive, non aggressive (but protective) and trains easily. He's a rambunctious, fun dog that will need time and space to adjust and a firm leader to lead him. Ideally, he will be looking for a home without children or other pets, for now- and a home with a fenced in yard. He needs to live with someone who can take the time to work with him on stranger and other dog skills.

She does alert at strangers sometimes. Mia has a clean bill of health and is up to date on vaccines and is on flea/tick and heart worm prevention. She is microchipped. Although she is a puppy, our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program is the perfect place to let her grow up. She quickly mastered her obedience training and is able to work on her social skills in all different kinds of situations. LuLu will do best in a home with an owner who has good dog experience, preferably with working breeds. We already see that If LuLu isn't "working, she is looking for puppy mischief. She will need plenty of physical AND mental exercise. At her age, she can be successfully introduced to other dog(s) in the home but we are recommending young male dogs. He adopted out by us when he was one and through no fault of his own, he came back last year. He has a nice moderate energy level and he's very loyal to "his person". MISTY is a 3 year old, female german shepherd that weighs 65 lbs. She is smart, affectionate, active and very ready for her forever home. This beautiful girl has been with us for a long time, but just as diamonds do, over time, Misty has formed herself into a lovely young lady. When she was one, she was in big trouble. She was wild, she was anxious, she was lacking in social skills and she was a day away from euthanasia. The urgency to help was evident. We saw a diamond in the rough and we were right! The nurturing pressure we applied along the way allowed her to develop into an awesome dog! Over the last year and a half, we helped her grow up through her "terrible teens". She is, after all, a german shepherd (plus a pinch of yellow lab because we have the DNA to prove it).
