Story
This lady is 93 pounds of beauty. She is a German Shepherd who knows a number of German commands. We are still getting to know her, but she seems to do well on leash and has a sweet demeanor. She is approximately 9 years old. Our adoption fee of $80 helps offset the cost of preparing our guests to enter a forever home! While expenses for each animal varies, the average healthy dog or cat receives $500 in medical treatment between intake and adoption. Variables in the cost are conditional based on guest needs with some topping out at thousands of dollars. Our adoption always includes: Basic health and wellness check by trained vet staffSpay/NeuterMicrochip with registrationUp-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies vaccine)Deworming, heartworm prevention and flea controlBasic Groom/BathFeline leukemia/FIV Combo testHeartworm testPost Adoption Benefits:Complementary veterinary wellness exam from AllPets Veterinary Clinic30-day free pet insurance policy from Trupanion30-day subscription to DOGtvLIFEtime Commitment from LIFEHouse for AnimalsLIFEtime Pet Companion Support from LIFEHouse for Animals A best friend for life! Story
I'm Sadie! I'm a young, smaller GSD with a LOT of energy that I need you to direct through consistent training and play time! I am very human friendly, but I like to jump on you and boop your face when I'm excited. This can be overwhelming - I'm strong! - so I should go to a house with older (or no) children and an owner who can help me learn better habits. Speaking of jumping, I like to escape and visit my doggy friend next door if I get too bored, so I'll need a TALL fence and a home away from traffic-filled roads. I am not dominant, and would love to learn how to be a good girl by watching another good dog, or would be fine as an only dog. I have a high prey drive, so my new home should not have small animals (including cats). I'm currently an outdoor pet, but am kennel trained. I know my name, am very treat motivated, and just love my humans! The right home will have experience with German Shepherds, room for me to run, and LOTS of love!

Story
Hello everyone! Meet Dahlia! This girl with the quirky ear is ready for her forever home! Her sweet face will draw you in, and her equally sweet personality will keep you around. She can be a bit timid at first, but warms up quickly and enjoys attention. She hasn't been super food-motivated here, but then again, we might have just not found her favorites yet. At this point, we haven't done any introductions with her, so if you have another dog at home she would require and meet-and-greet to make sure they could get along. We do think she'd do better with larger dogs than small though, the little ones may be just a little too tempting. Could Dahlia be the one for you? Give us a call at our Adoption Center at 859-873-5491 to find out more about her or to schedule an appointment to meet her! Primary Color: Black Weight: 68.4 Age: 3yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
Layla is a 2 year old, 59 lb gorgeous girl. She is a little skittish in the shelter environment but warms up to people quickly. She has been good with other dogs and kids. We are working on leash and house training but she is a smart gal and we have confidence with some patience and consistency she will catch on quickly. Layla is a calmer dog and would make a wonderful addition to your family. She will be fully vetted 11/4/24 Call Elizabeth at 502-750-1673 or text Hilari at 502-514-1897 if you are interested in this beauty ##2209710##
