Story
Hey there, I'm Pepper, and I'm ready to find my forever home! Let me tell you a little bit more about myself. I'm a proud member of the 'Buddy' program here. What that means is I have a volunteer as my BFF who walks me though the week. These regular walks has really helped a lot with my leash manners and basic training! I'm a smart guy who could pick up right away on a regular schedule and settle in a new environment quickly. These regular outings have made it so easy to meet new people! I'm a playful, social pup who loves nothing more than romping around and having a good time. I'm a busy bee who absolutely adores rope toys - they're my favorite! I absolutely love being brushed - it's not only great for keeping my coat looking sleek, but it's also a wonderful way for us to bond. I'm also a big fan of car rides - there's nothing quite like feeling the wind in my fur as we cruise down the road together. And let me tell you, I'm one smart cookie! I love learning new tricks and tasks, and I'm always eager to show off my skills. A smart guy like me can get bored easy, so I'd do great in a home that can work with met o learn some fun new tricks! I would do well with a crate, or puzzle toys when left alone at home to keep me occupied. I know I can be the perfect companion for the right family. If you're ready to welcome a smart, goofy, and lovable pup into your life, then look no further - I'm right here waiting for you!

Story
Hello there, I’m Claire, a four-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a mind ready to learn. Life hasn’t always been smooth sailing for me, but I’m hopeful that the right person or family will come along and show me what true belonging feels like. Maybe that’s you? I’m a sweet and calm girl who loves to take it easy. My favorite pastimes include lounging around, enjoying a good brush or bath, and quietly observing the world around me. I can be a little shy at first—new situations and people can be a bit scary—but with a gentle approach and a calm environment, I warm up quickly and become a loyal companion. I’m great with older kids who understand how to give me space when I need it, and I’ve done well with other dogs in the past. Now, I’ll admit that car rides aren’t my favorite. They make me a little nervous, but with patience and some positive reinforcement, I’m sure I can learn to feel more comfortable. It’s the same with other aspects of my life—I thrive with people who are experienced with shepherds or herding breeds, who understand that I have a working mind and a sensitive heart. I’d love to be in a home where we can go on walks, learn new tricks, or even just play games that keep my brain busy. It makes me feel useful and happy! I already know a few things, like “sit” and “in” for going into my kennel or home, so I’m off to a great start in the manners department. I’ll do best with someone who respects my boundaries and helps me build confidence through encouragement, not pressure. My anxiety is just part of who I am, but with the right support, I know I can thrive. If you’re looking for a calm, intelligent, and loving companion who will repay your kindness with endless devotion, then I think we’re a perfect match. Let’s meet soon—I can’t wait to start our journey together!
