Story
Hi, my name is Carl and I'm looking for my very own adventure buddy! I am approximately 5-6 month old and they call me a Shepherd mix. I am a sweet, active boy who loves my people and being goofy. I am learning basic commands, crate and house training in my foster home. My foster mom says I am highly intelligent with maybe a touch of ADHD. :) I love playing with other dogs, but I can be a bit protective of my favorite toys and food. I love all people, but may bit to much for smaller humans. Since I'm so energetic, I would love to meet a family who can keep me active, burn off all my energy, and teach me new things. My foster mom says I would make a wonderful hiking partner. I need a 6 ft. fence or to be 100% watched at all times outside as I can jump high and fences are no match for me! :) *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Story
Hi, my name is Ellie! I am a approximately 5-6 month old shepherd/hound mix. My foster mom figured I was all shepherd until I opened my mouth and bayed like an old hound dog! I am a sweet girl who is looking for a home with other doggies to play with. I am good with all sized people, as long as the children are sturdy! :) I've got lots of puppy energy and sometimes don't know my own strength. I am working on my crate and house training, along with tricks in my foster home. I currently live with both dogs and cats and I love both! I can be sweet, snuggly, but do have a shy side. I'm a smart girl, but sometimes my hound side shows and I need a patient adopter who will work with me. Are you my forever family!? *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Story
Bear had been running as loose dog for close to a year despite having a home. They couldn’t contain him, and he kept escaping. Bear was found by Sketchy Mutts and Underdogs with infected punctures on his face and legs from a dog fight. He was taken to the vet and his owners decided to relinquish his care to help him find his fresh start. Slowly but surely, Bear is getting used to his new digs. He enjoys interacting with all the volunteers and his personality is really shining through. He’s a very sweet dog, he loves to be close to humans and LOVES pets. Bear has done well with the other dogs in passing, although we haven’t had him in play groups because of his injuries. He did well with multiple other stray dogs while on the street. We desperately want to find a home for Bear so he can live a long and happy life as an inside dog. Could you be Bear’s new start? *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please note that we do not operate on a first come first served basis. *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Story
Benny is approximately one year old and already knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and stay. PLUS he's already crate trained! :) His fosters say he is a TOTAL snuggle bug and loves attention. He does very well with his foster brother Winston and loves to wrestle and go on walks. Benny is a BIG fan of all things chew toys and loves chewing on bones. He is high energy and can sometimes get mouthy when he's playing. Benny was found as a stray a few weeks ago and his finders decided to foster him. His family never came to claim him so we're hoping his next home is FOREVER. Could you be the right family for Benny? *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Story
**Bronx is in need of a new foster home! If you'd like to foster him, please submit an application through our website - www.helpingpawsonline.com/foster-application Meet Bronx! This happy go lucky dude came from a local shelter where he was brought in as an owner surrender. He is about 5 years old and weighs about 55-60lbs. He gets along with great with other dogs and is fine with cats. We are recommending older children for him partly because he jumps and partly because he isn't a huge fan of having his collar pulled on (we suspect some past trauma) so the kids would need to be old enough to know not to do that. His foster home is working on house training as he does like to mark, but he will wear a belly band without an issue so that might be a solution while he continues his training. He's a great dog that would love to be a part of a family! Bronx's adoption fee is $250, which will include all of his vaccine, neuter, and microchip. He is also heartworm negative and currently on heartworm and flea prevention. Interested in meeting him? Visit www.helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application and apply today!

Story
Hello! This is rocky. He is an approximately 5-6 year old German Shepard pure bred dog. He was trained as a PTSD service animal. He has lost a lot of the training, but we believe could be easily retrained. I believe he is still able to wake people from nightmares and pees and poops almost on command. He is truly the nicest and goofiest dog I know, and is a pure ray of light to be around. Unfortunately my relative that owns him can’t take care of him anymore, and since the pound is full, has resorted to euthanizing him on the 18 of December. If you could promise to take him within a week, I could probably get the euthanasia date postponed. I love this dog so much and cannot see him die. If you can give him a good home, even for a little, PLEASE MESSAGE ME! Thank you so much!!

Story
Nova is a sweet girl who is 2 years old. She joined our pack after a family member moved and would no longer have the space for such an active breed. Unfortunately she does not get along great with one of her new brothers, but is best friends with the other two. She would probably do best in a single dog home. Nova loves to follow her humans around and play fetch, is great at listening to commands, has great recall, and is house trained. She is eager to learn and loves attention. She needs someone who has time to spend with her. She is used to getting about 4 walks a day and space to run. She needs a home with a yard to run and play.

Story
Ivy is 1yr 7mo old, I've had her since she was a puppy at 10 weeks old. She gets along with most other dogs, however she has had issues with 2 different dogs in the past. She does like cats, she wants to play with them so bad but she looks like she's going to hurt them with the way she chases them. I have videos of her interacting with other dogs and cats as well. Definitely a tall fenced in yard, if she learned how to use her limbs she could jump over a chain-link fence. She loves women, but she'll bark at men at first until she warms up. Needs the strongest toys possible, anything with stuffing she'll tear up in like 10 minutes.

Story
Aren`t I just the prettiest German Shepherd you`ve ever seen? My last owners surrendered me after I lived and loved them for my whole life. So, at 4 years old, I`m on the hunt for a new family who will treat me like the princess I am. I`ve lived with kiddos and with other big dogs so I`m pretty compatible with anyone. Except for cats, I am NOT a cat fan. Hopefully you aren`t either! Now, let`s talk more about my amazing qualities! I love going on walks, I`m great at fetch, and since I`m a German Shepherd I`m super smart which means I LOVE to train. But, I am going to need your help with some things. Like all the other girlies, I have some tummy issues. This means that I will need lifelong management with medication and special food (but not too special, you can still get my favorite blend at your local pet store or Chewy). Now that I`ve laid it all out there, do you think you could give me a chance? My foster mom think`s I`m the best, but don`t take her word for it- find out for yourself!
