Story
Bert is a 7 year old German Shepard/ blue heeler mix! He is full of energy but also enjoys his time relaxing. We are looking to rehome him as we recently have had a kid and he has not adjusted well to a baby walking around. We currently have two other larger dogs who he gets along with well but he is sometimes slow getting used to other dogs but we have had no issues with biting in the past! He also should not have a home with younger children as he is afraid of them. He is a very sweet dog when not around children and loves to be outdoors so a house with a fence would be ideal.

Story
🐾Dasher has been working with our friends at Perfect Pet. 🐾He is a very friendly boy who knows his basic obedience commands like walking nicely on a leash, sit, down, come, and place. He is muzzle trained. Dasher would prefer a home by himself but would be okay to go to a home with a calm housemate through proper introduction and structured playtimes. Pushy or ill mannered dogs are a big trigger for him. He does great with people and loves to give snuggles and kisses as well as going for joy rides in the car. When he’s outside he loves to play ball, go on walks and run. When he’s inside he loves to lounge on the couch ready to cuddle. Dasher’s not a big barker either and keeps quiet most of the time. His new owners will need to be willing to put time into continuing his training and learning the commands he knows. Perfect Pet will do free lessons with his adoptive owners so you can learn everything this smart boy knows!Dasher would prefer a fenced in yard and a big comfy couch to lounge. ❤️He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Dasher, please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Only complete applications will be considered. Story
Stella is a 3 year old, 54 pound female shepherd, possible catahoula, mix who is looking for her furever home and is a kid's dream dog.She snuggles at bedtime, enthusiastically rides shotgun during school pick up and drop off, and is up for travel, hiking, and exploring adventures. She tolerates toddler’s pulls on ears and tugs on her tail, and is happy to be a super soft pillow for children’s heads on movie night. If you dare leave the house without her, she’ll stare sadly at the front door until you return. She is gently playful, calm, cheerful, and adoring of her people. She’s also gorgeous - Stella has beautiful brindle fur and the sweetest little face.Stella will chase deer, squirrels, and other critters without hesitation, so would do best in a home with a tall fenced yard and no cats. She has done well with most dogs, but has shown aggression toward others, so might be best as an only dog.  She is smart, incredibly gentle with all people, and eager to please, and could be a good candidate to train as a therapy dog. Her adoption fee is $300.If you have any questions or concerns not mentioned in this write-up, please send an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. If you would like to apply for her, please visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.January 3, 2025, 11:54 am

Story
Meet Luna Mae, a sweet and loving 10-year-old German Shepherd mix looking for her new forever home. We’ve had her since she was a pup. Born May 10, 2014, Luna is incredibly well-trained, fantastic with kids (she’s grown up with our 6- and 3-year-olds), and absolutely adores playing fetch. She thrives indoors and loves being around people—she’s 100% a companion dog at heart. Unfortunately, due to downsizing to a one-bedroom home and recent financial struggles, we can no longer provide Luna with the space and attention she deserves. She seems unhappy without room to roam, and it breaks our hearts to see her this way. She’s been a part of our lives for so long, but this is the first time she’s not been happy. She deserves better and we simply don’t have the means to provide that now. A couple of quirks to know: Luna is very food motivated, so she’ll beg and sometimes help herself to food or trash if left unsupervised. But with her loving, loyal nature, we know she’ll bring so much joy
