Story
Looking for a dog who’s always ready for fun? Hades is a high-energy doggo who loves to stay busy! He would thrive in a home with plenty of activities to keep him moving. This smart boy needs both physical and mental challenges to keep him happy. He’s a bit of an introvert when meeting new people. Slow introductions will help him feel most comfortable. Food and toys are his absolute favorite! His love for them is unmatched! He would benefit from someone who can help guide him through some resource guarding. Due to his unique needs, he’s looking for a home with adults 18+ and an experienced owner who understands how to bring out the best in him. With a strong prey drive, he will need a home without cats or other small animals. He will also thrive being the only dog in the home. Hades is asking for a home where he can be the star of the show!Hades is sweet, smart, and always up for some pets after a long day. If this boy sounds like the one for you, ask for a visitation today!

He is a true athlete at heart and would appreciate regular exercise. Dingo may have his quirks as a typical Shepherd, but he thrives on positive encouragement. Dingo would appreciate a home with no other dogs or cats. Get ready to fall head over heels for Dingo and his elf-like ears! Story
Meet Einstein! This handsome boy was surrendered to an overcrowded high-kill shelter, so Misty Eyes brought him in and placed him in foster care. He was adopted, but was found to be a bit too much for the family to handle, so he`s come back. Einstein is a big, lovable guy who prefers women over men, and his foster mom has been working with him to overcome his fear of men. Einstein is not aggressive, but has a big bark that can be very intimidating. He loves his dog siblings and is fine with the cats in the home. He needs a very patient adopter to help him to continue to learn to trust men. A fenced yard is best for Einstein. He is a large guy and powerful guy. A DNA test was performed, and Einstein, surprisingly, is German Shepherd/Mastiff/Poodle/Shih Tzu. Are you the one to give Einstein a permanent home? If you`d like to meet Einstein, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Story
We found this german shepherd on a country road in Clinton County, outside of Rossville IN. We believe she was dumped. We have had her for 3-4 months. We took her to the vet in Rossville and they estimated she was 1 year old or less. She had no microchip, she has not been spayed and she is currently in heat. We posted her on many shelter and humane society sites in the area with nobody claiming her. By herself, she is a good pup, loyal, listens, can sit, and invisible fence trained. However, with our other two dogs, she is a handful. She is starting to intimidate our silver lab that is just under 2 years old. Our 9 year old Labradane then joins in and we just feel bad for our silver lab being ganged up on. She is not house trained and is chewing everything she can find even with plenty of chew toys. We think this might be anxiety from being dumped. She is very vocal when playing and will always bark when strangers come around.
