Story
Bert is a 7 year old German Shepard/ blue heeler mix! He is full of energy but also enjoys his time relaxing. We are looking to rehome him as we recently have had a kid and he has not adjusted well to a baby walking around. We currently have two other larger dogs who he gets along with well but he is sometimes slow getting used to other dogs but we have had no issues with biting in the past! He also should not have a home with younger children as he is afraid of them. He is a very sweet dog when not around children and loves to be outdoors so a house with a fence would be ideal.

Story
🐾Dasher has been working with our friends at Perfect Pet. 🐾He is a very friendly boy who knows his basic obedience commands like walking nicely on a leash, sit, down, come, and place. He is muzzle trained. Dasher would prefer a home by himself but would be okay to go to a home with a calm housemate through proper introduction and structured playtimes. Pushy or ill mannered dogs are a big trigger for him. He does great with people and loves to give snuggles and kisses as well as going for joy rides in the car. When he’s outside he loves to play ball, go on walks and run. When he’s inside he loves to lounge on the couch ready to cuddle. Dasher’s not a big barker either and keeps quiet most of the time. His new owners will need to be willing to put time into continuing his training and learning the commands he knows. Perfect Pet will do free lessons with his adoptive owners so you can learn everything this smart boy knows!Dasher would prefer a fenced in yard and a big comfy couch to lounge. ❤️He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Dasher, please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Only complete applications will be considered. Story
Zuri - 1 Years old. 75Lbs. German Shepherd  Zuri came to me on October 21st from Knox Indiana. I was able to live trap her after she had been hanging out at a homeowners house since around July.   The homeowner was able to shut her into an outdoor run but eventually let her go after she couldn't find a shelter or rescue to take her. Everyone was full.  While in the outdoor dog run, Zuri became extremely depressed and shut down and so she was given her freedom back until we came along.    While in my care Zuri took about 2 weeks to warm up to me and then another 1,5 weeks after that to warm up to the dogs. She is meeting other dogs and people at a much faster pace now. Still shy, I hope to see her confidently meet new friends in the months coming as she becomes more comfortable with her surrounding environment and builds trust with people.   Now fully integrated with two dogs in her foster home she is a playful and loving dog.  Zuri has lots to learn and I am in no hurry to place her but wanted to share her story with everyone in case there is a special adopter just waiting to take her home.   I am looking for someone who is committed to her needs and continuing classes to help build her confidence.  Zuri is still learning to live inside a home.  At first she was very anxious and paced and whined a lot. Nowadays, she enjoys snuggling on the couch, chewing on a bone and playing with her toys. Zuri is fully housebroken here but we go out often so I have not given her the opportunity to have an accident here. Zuri does not like to be crated and is currently working through separation anxiety. She will need a strong crate to keep her contained and safe while her owners are away from the home.  Zuri is enrolled in classes and is seeing a trainer for help and tips to work through separation anxiety and hopefully help her overcome it soon. She is loyal and loving, sweet and silly.  Zuri will need a secure fenced yard.  Preferably 6ft.   Although she has never tried to jump the 4ft side of my fence I totally think she can and will if given the opportunity or left alone.  Medical: Zuri has been fully vetted including spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and has her bordatella. She was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and we are almost finished with her 30 days of antibitoics. While Lyme disease is not curable, she will need to be on prevention monthly to keep her safe and help her lyme exposure numbers to go down.  Her adoption fee is $200 and you can find an application on our website. www.trackingintheshadows.com ##2213085##
