NOVA is a smart, beautiful and wonderful soul. She wants nothing more than to please and be loved. Beautiful NOVA is the most perfect girl around! She is cuddly, sweet, goofy, well behaved, and always happy! NOVA loves other dogs of all ages and sizes and is a big fan of doggie daycare. She loves dogs so much, we feel she would be happiest in a home with at least one other canine friend. NOVA also loves to play with her toys and can entertain herself for hours on end. She is a clever, active girl who would do great with obedience or agility training to keep her bright mind and body in shape. With her happy personality and comical doggy antics, she is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face everyday. Sweet NOVA is potty trained, crate trained, and only chews on her toys. She does well in the car and would make an ideal traveling companion. She would also be a great companion on a restaurant patio for a little happy hour when the weather is nice . For an adoption application on NOVA click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Thank you for choosing rescue!!

Story
Female - 2 years - 50 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - DEHello! My name is Vaquita and I am a 2-year-old, 50 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I currently need to be crated when I am left home alone. I do well with men, women, and older children with proper introductions. I actively seek affection and sometimes even invite myself into people’s laps for snuggles and kisses! I will welcome visitors to our home after some alert barks. I have not done well with other animals in my foster home so I will need to be the only pet. I love toys, especially ropes and balls, and my foster family has been working to teach me appropriate tug games so we can have fun together! I have fantastic agility and can easily clear a fence so I either need a yard with a tall fence or no fence where all outside activity is on leash. I ride well in the car and know some basic commands: sit, come, roll over. My leash skills are a work in progress as I am learning not to pull and that I don’t need to react whenever we see people or animals on our walks. I am rather high energy and would thrive with someone dedicated to providing plenty of mental and physical stimulation. I am a diamond in the rough ready to find my perfect adoptive family—could you be my people? Male - 2 years - 75 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - LAHello there: My name is Jonas and I am a 2-year-old, 75 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone so I don’t know how I’d do if left uncrated. I am a sweetheart who loves everyone I meet, including men, women, and young children. I actively seek affection and enjoy spending time with people. I do well with other dogs of all kinds and love to play! I also love playing with toys (especially my rubber ball and tug toys!) and will even play a game of fetch with you! I cannot go to a home with cats. I have been working to become a perfect adventure partner and am great in the car! I have been doing well with my leash skills and now only pull slightly. I have learned sit and would love a family willing to continue my training and teach me some new commands! I am a friendly, playful, sweet boy who would love to find my perfect adoptive family. Story
Male - 5 years - 40 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - NYHi, I’m Ricardo. I’m a 5-year-old, 40 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I use my crate as a safe space mostly; I do not need to be shut in my crate when I am left home alone. I have coexisted well with adults, with a preference for women, though I am very shy and don’t seek much interaction. I will accept calm affection from my foster mom. Most of the time I am happy to people watch from afar. I will need someone willing to be patient as I come around to them and my surroundings in my new home; I had had no or minimal human contact prior to coming to Echo Dogs so this human world is all new to me and I have been trying hard to learn! I love having the company of other dogs and will require at least one confident canine companion to help guide me. I am wonderful about adjusting my play style to match that of the dog I am playing with and all around have good canine social skills. I am also gentle around cats and wouldn’t mind having feline siblings. I have been learning about these things called toys and they’re pretty fun! I especially like the plushy toys and benebones. I have been working hard on leash skills and can now join on quiet outings! I may get nervous at times and need gentle encouragement. I am still pretty uncomfortable with car rides so that is also a work in progress. I have learned to reliably come to my foster mom when she calls me. I currently take clomicalm to help me manage my anxiety. I am a gentle-natured boy who is ready to find a patient human ready to help me continue navigating this human world—could you be my human(s)? Story
Male - 1 year - 61 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - TXHi there! My name is Daggry and I am a 1-year-old, 61 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone. I am a friendly boy with men, women, and older children. I may display hesitancy first approaching a new man until I know him better. I am a sweet boy who is happy to engage with my humans, especially for play! I will actively seek affection and love. I can be a bit rowdy when I get excited and am likely too much for small children. I have been working hard on my canine social skills and have been doing well with a neutral, large dogs. I can be easily overstimulated by other animals so I cannot go to a home with exuberant dogs or small dogs. I enjoy toys: my favorites are balls or anything with a squeaker to be dissected. I also enjoy my Wubba toys! I am happy to play games of fetch with you! I ride well in the car after being lifted in. I am working hard on my leash skills and usually only pull slightly, and I am learning I don’t need to bark whenever we see other animals though this is a work in progress. I have learned sit, drop it, and kennel. I’m currently learning down and settle. I am currently taking fluoxetine to help stabilize my mental state while I work on my training around other animals. I am an intelligent, active boy who would love to find a family committed to continuing my training so I can become the best boy I can be! Are you my family? Story
Female - 6 years - 70 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - PAHello! My name is Saige and I am a 6-year-old, 70 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained if kept on a schedule and am crate-trained. I don’t seem to need crated when left alone as long as the trash is inaccessible to me. I am a great cuddler and love to snuggle with my foster mom! I can be hesitant and need a few minutes to warm up when meeting new people. I am hand-shy with men and won’t allow them to pet me, so I would do best in a female-only home. I have done well with older, respectful children. I love belly rubs from my trusted people and bringing you stuffies! I have gotten along with the other dogs I’ve met while in foster and wouldn’t mind having a canine sibling in my new home. I enjoy toys such as balls or stuffies, though I am still learning how to actually play with them. I do well with the parrot in my foster home but did not do well with cats, so I cannot go to a home with cats. I like car rides and only pull slightly on lead for when we go on outings! I have already learned sit and leave it. I would love a family who will continue working with me on my basic commands. I am a sweet, happy girl ready to find my perfect adoptive family—could that be with you? Story
Male - 18 months - 59 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - TXHi there! My name is Rocket and I am an 18-month-old, 59 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone. I am a friendly boy who does well with men, women, and older children. While I haven’t shown any behaviors that would indicate I’d not do well with small children, I haven’t been around any to know for sure. I am a leaner and will push into you for affection and rubs! I am welcoming to visitors to our home. I have done well with other dogs of both sexes and could do well with canine siblings or by myself. I will try to intercept other dogs getting affection so I can claim it all for myself so my foster dad has been working with me to learn there is enough affection for everyone. I like to run around the yard with my toys, especially a good frisbee! I am still learning that giving my frisbee back is required for it to be thrown. I cannot go to a home with cats. I like car rides and getting the chance to get out and about to play with my human! I pull slightly on leash and get excited when we see another dog, so my leash skills are a work in progress. I have learned how to sit and down on cue. I would love  to continue learning! I am a playful, sweet guy who is ready for a family of my own.
