Story
Meet Galileo! Galileo is the most classic 'good ole boy' you will ever meet. He is potty trained, walks well on leash, is quiet, loves his people, kennel trained, loves car rides, is happy spending all day on the couch even when left alone, and just has just enough puppy energy to give him that endearing personality everyone loves. While this boy may be 7 going on 70 that doesn't mean he won't keep you on your toes. Whether its casually passing you in the hallway with a counter he stole off the counter (without a hint of guilt, because why else would you have left it out if not for him?) or leaping over baby gates like a thoroughbred jumping horse, he loves to give you occasional reminders he will always be young at heart. That being said, once he has settled into a home, he happily spends majority of his day asleep on the couch or taking up space on the floor chewing his favorite Benebone. Outside of long walks this boy's favorite thing in the world is food! There isn't much he wouldn't do for a yummy treat (and don't worry he isn't very picky) and this old dog loves learning new tricks. He even has a fancy certificate from graduating a Basic Manners class! Unfortunately, due to Galileo's age he does have some vision issues and stress related OCD. However, neither of these things seem to affect him after a couple weeks in a new home once he knows the layout and routine. Knowing these things, we would recommend Galileo go to a quiet home with a pretty solid routine to help him feel confident and safe. I hope you have a big couch because this big couch potato will absolutely be claiming his own corner!

Story
Meet Holly! Holly is a 4 Yr old GSD mix. She is a super sweet girl and the ultimate lover girl. She is initially a little shy; though, once she warms up to you, she has so much love to give. She loves attention and will let you know when she wants more by putting her paw on you. She loves walks and running around outside, but she loves cuddling with you on the couch even more. She definitely thinks she is a lap dog. She does well in her crate but is also a perfect angel outside of the crate and just wants to stretch out on the couch. New things are super scary, but she has done great overcoming them with a little encouragement! She LOVES stuffed toys and is very gentle with everything. She’d much rather squeak them and then use them as a pillow than tear them up. She is very gentle and tolerant of her cat foster brother as well!

Story
Meet Cookie, the dog of MANY toes! Cookie is an active dog with an amazing off switch! Her favorite activities include hikes, running on the dog powered slat mill, playing tug, fetch, and possibly her favorite, cuddling on the couch after a good long day. Whether you are ready to hike a mountain, go for a road trip, or just chill on the couch binging Netlfix all day, this girl is happy to partake. She would be a great sport dog too if you wanted to dip your toes into the world of sport dogs! She has excellent house manners and settles in pretty quickly (she has no issues making herself right at home in a stranger's house!). She is kennel and potty trained and tends to be on the quiet side. This girl would be perfect to get you out of the house and moving after a day at work! Cookie is currently in foster with our trainer learning basic manners like sit, down, come, leash walking, etc... If you are looking for an active dog with training AND enjoy a dog with fancy extra toes, this dog might be the one for you!

Story
It is with a heavy heart we are looking to immediately rehome our almost 4yo male German Shepherd “Ruger” (DOB 5/15/2019) to a more suitable environment without the temptation of homestead livestock. Ruger is a healthy, active, good-natured, gentle-with-people <4-year-old purebred GSD who has been a wonderful family dog to our 5 young children even from infancy and gets along with other dogs. He even tolerates our outdoor farm cats, although I would take care before trusting him with unfamiliar cats. He is generally well behaved. He has been an exclusively outdoor dog and knows several commands, including sit, down, shake. In the right home he would be a joy to his family. Unfortunately our environment is not the right one for his high prey drive and he has a history of killing small livestock. A recent incident with a goat has made his time with us necessarily ended. He needs a home with lots of outdoor space but WITHOUT the temptation of chickens or goats.
