Story
Are you looking for a "perfectly sized" companion with a heart of gold? Meet Zippy, a 2-year-old Shepherd mix who clocks in at an ideal 48 lbs. He’s the ultimate blend of active adventurer and world-class lounge act. Zippy is a gentle soul who hasn't met a stranger he didn't like. Whether he's tossing a tennis ball in the air to catch it himself or snoozing at your feet, he just wants to be part of the "pack." He thrives with other dogs! In his foster home, he spends his days roughhousing with his fur-brother. He is a total gentleman in the car and is always ready for a drive-thru Pup Cup. He walks beautifully on a leash and loves exploring the neighborhood. Zippy adores children and would be a patient, loving addition to a family with kids. He has a touch of separation anxiety, so he likes to know where his humans are in the house. He is fully crate trained and will greet you with the most adorable "woo-woo" barks and wiggles when you get home! Zippy would love a family that appreciates both his playful side and his chill mode. Another dog in the home would be great but he would also be content just having dog friends. He would be a great fit with someone that works from home, a retired couple or a young family.

Story
MEET RINGO! Ringo is a handsome 8-1/2-year-old German Shepherd in need of a foster or forever home. He was rescued from a shelter awhile back and is ready for a new leash on life! He is very intelligent and loyal. Ringo bonds intensely with his person, so would thrive in a home with a single person, or possibly a couple with German Shepherd experience ideally. Like most shepherds, he will be your true companion. He may be protective, so a quiet home/setting is important for him. Ringo loves car rides and riding in the front seat! He would love road trips and other adventures. He takes treats gently and sits on command. He has done well around other dogs. Ringo is currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Idaho. Please email for an application. He weighs about 69 lbs.

Story
Sadly need to re-home our 2 yr female German Sheppard. I am allergic to her and it is getting to the point of making me physically sick and she has killed several of our chickens. She is spade, vaccinated, dewormed, licensed in the state of Idaho, microchipped. She is house trained, crate trained, very mellow temperament, great with children, no aggression at all. Great on leash. Very socialized with other dogs, she does not have a dominant mentality. *Please note: she kills chickens but she’s not aggressive, it’s more a game/natural instincts to her, (maybe she’s a hunting dog potential), and she does not like cats. Probably needs a yard with a fence. Otherwise she is a very smart and well behaved dog and that’s why this is hard for our family, we could never take her to the pound, and would like her to find a better home option than ours. We can provide crate and leash if you would like.

Story
Meet Maxx! This handsome 3 year old German Shepherd (born December 2022) is a loyal and loving companion. Though he doesn’t have papers, he has all the wonderful traits the breed is known for. Maxx does well with everyone, including kids, other dogs, and even horses. He loves going for walks, riding in the car, and spending time with his people. He’s a smart boy who already knows sit, down, shake, and even how to sit up and beg. Maxx is leash trained, housetrained, and crate trained. He enjoys chewing on his toys and has a playful, attentive personality. Maxx can be a little timid at first, but once he warms up, he becomes a very affectionate dog who loves to stay close and soak up attention. He’s independent at times but also very huggable and loving. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will stick by your side, Maxx could be your perfect match! All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. If the dog is not old enough, you will be given a voucher for Animal Medical Center in Emmett to cover the cost of the spay or neuter.
