Story
Rubi is about 3 years old and is a black German Shepard. We adopted Rubi about 6 months ago, she is a very loving and a cuddle dog. She has some anxiety about when we leave which has made it hard for us to both have a job in a small apartment. Rubi is great with other dogs and would be amazing with a yard but she doesn't like cats.

Story
Ella is the biggest sweetheart ever! Everyone who meets her falls in love. She has done well with all farm animals, cats, dogs, and kids. There has only been one dog that she has had to stay away from and we can’t figure out why she dislikes him so. Ella loves to play with toys, enjoys snuggling, rides well in a car, and is crate and potty trained. Ella does well on and off leash. She knows basic cues. Ella does need to either have hip surgery or be on pain medication and NSDR is trying to fundraiser and save up for her surgery. She is in pain; if you happen to touch a sore spot, she will signal to you that it hurts. While she is still in pain it is best she is in a home without toddlers that might lean on her or bump her. Ella is already spayed, chipped, UTD on vaccines, dewormed. Ella is 5 year old and a German shepherd. If you're interested in Ella, please go to the link below and fill out a foster form or pre-adoption application: Linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue

Story
Bruce is as goofy as they come. He is a big boy who acts like the biggest kid ever. He and Knuckles know and love each other. They are great friends from their past. Once reunited it was such a wonderful thing to see and made us cry. He is great with every person and animal he meets. Bruce loves to play with his friends and curl up with you. He likes to jump up and give as many kisses as possible, so be prepared for a wet face. Bruce doesn’t like to be left alone; he will need another dog friend. Bruce has had a very hard life. Yet, through it all he stands tall and you wouldn’t know that he went through any of it. His story is long and can be discussed in depth via phone or meeting with serious applicants. Bruce is crate trained, house trained, and leash trained. Bruce is about 2 1/2 years old at the time this is posted and we think he may have German shepherd and Siberian husky in him. If you’re interested in Bruce, please fill out the pre adoption application on link below. Https://linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue

This gentle giant is very curious of feline friends so he would do best in a home without kitties!Health & Care:Neutered and up to date on all vaccinationsHouse-ready and fine in a walk-in kennel when neededIf you’re looking for a big-hearted, fun-loving dog who will bring endless joy and laughter into your life, The Captain is your guy. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Story
Meet Sydney, a serene and affectionate Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix with a heart as gentle as her gaze. Sydney is the definition of calm—nothing seems to faze her. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. She’s currently looking for a foster or adopter in Central Texas who can offer her the calm, consistent environment she deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Sydney is ready to make your heart her home. To see more pictures and videos of Sydney copy and paste this link, you can apply directly for Sydney by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-550 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).
