Story
Ella is the biggest sweetheart ever! Everyone who meets her falls in love. She has done well with all farm animals, cats, dogs, and kids. There has only been one dog that she has had to stay away from and we can’t figure out why she dislikes him so. Ella loves to play with toys, enjoys snuggling, rides well in a car, and is crate and potty trained. Ella does well on and off leash. She knows basic cues. Ella does need to either have hip surgery or be on pain medication and NSDR is trying to fundraiser and save up for her surgery. She is in pain; if you happen to touch a sore spot, she will signal to you that it hurts. While she is still in pain it is best she is in a home without toddlers that might lean on her or bump her. Ella is already spayed, chipped, UTD on vaccines, dewormed. Ella is 5 year old and a German shepherd. If you're interested in Ella, please go to the link below and fill out a foster form or pre-adoption application: Linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue

Story
Melbourne is a German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix with a calm demeanor and an adventurous spirit. He is currently being fostered at an indoor/outdoor boarding facility in Seguin, TX, but he’s eagerly awaiting a foster or adoptive home where he can thrive. Melbourne is an affectionate dog who bonds deeply with his people and enjoys being part of their lives. His laid-back nature makes him easy to have around, but he also has the energy and enthusiasm to keep up with an active lifestyle. Story
Rio is looking for her forever family! This is what her foster says: "Rio is an absolute pleasure and one of a kind - you'll never meet another girl like her. She will happily spend the day snuggling with you on the couch or laying beside you as you go throughout your day. She loves to go outside and is an amazing running buddy. She's been making great progress not pulling while walking on hte leash, so now we're just working on less weaving and herding while walking. Rio loves as much off leash time as she can get, especially when she can play with other dogs. She is extremely friendly to men, women, kids and dogs. She hasn't met many cats, but would probably make friends with them too - she's great at reading the room and responding to other animals and people accordingly. She responds to her name being called 90% of the time, she knows her basic commands (sit, down, wait, paw) and is a very fast learner. She is crate trained, but definitely prefrs to just sleep on the floor or in her bed. She will bark if she is left home alone in the crate, but she can also be left home alone outside her crate and she won't get into anything she's not supposed to. Overall, Rio is eager to please her parents/family and has to much love to give. Please consider giving her a forever home!" Rio is two years old and weighs 60 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Potty trained.

HI - I'M ROSEY! I'm an adorable and easygoing German Shepherd puppy in need of forever home! I'm currently in a foster home and am doing great! Based on my looks and size, I'm about 5 months old or younger. I am good with other dogs and I love kids! I love to take naps with you, and go for walks and other outings. I was originally rescued from a crowded California shelter. I am still too young to be spayed, but can get spayed when the vet says I'm ready. I weigh 25-30 lbs. currently, but am a growing girl. Story
My name is Lil Man aka Deuce. Deuce for two since I'm getting a second chance at life after being in the shelter. My foster Dad says I'm living life to the fullest and trying really hard at forgetting my first life. I'm still shy around some people but my foster has been teaching me to be less fearful of strangers. I would love you to help me with slow introductions when I meet new people. People always say how beautiful my brindle coat is. I'm very smart and will sit and speak for my treats, I am learning to play ball and will jump in the air to get it! I'm still working on the bring it back all the time, every time. But I'm working on it! I get along well with other dogs and I'm a great watch dog. I like to make sure my people are safe and taken care of. I love being outside in the sun and playing with my dog foster siblings or other dogs. I love the yard and think being outside is swell. When I come inside I'm a very good boy and don't get on the couch or jump on people. I do like to give little licks and kisses to the people I feel safe with. I have a zest for life and like to go for walks and runs and to play in the river. I'm potty trained and stay out during the day in the sunshine. I always try to ensure the squirrels know I'm the bosss. At night I like to sleep inside with my pals. Whoever adopts me will have to be a little patient and continue working with me on my shyness at times. New things are scary and I need you to show me it's going to be ok. My perfect home would have a nice, fenced yard, and maybe a doggy door so I can go in and out on my own. I'll probably do better with another dog in the household, I really like friends. I would love someone to play fetch with me or take me to the river and swim. I don't mind baths at all either, but I sure don't like cats! I like to keep my food just for me and don't really like to share. I know basic commands and will sit for a treat, or two. I would love to meet you and your resident dog and make some new friends!
