Tiller is a jumper, Layla is a kiss giver. GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS: not socialized with other dogs besides one another. Layla is skittish, and can appear aggressive but I have never witnessed her attack or bite another dog. GOOD WITH CATS: no is the safe answer, I have not experienced anything, but would assume any small pets would need to be worked with on introduction. They both have retrieved small “visitors” they find in our yard. If you are looking for a loyal and loving pup, then Bebe is your gal! She loves to give hugs and kisses! We adopted Bebe from Dekalb Animal Shelter in April 2024. She had raving reviews from the shelter and was a fan favorite. Bebe gets along great with our 2 year old toddler. She is very gentle with him and does not knock him over. Bebe is great with me and my husband. She and my husband are best friends. However, Bebe is protective and selective of the people she is friendly with. Bebe will need and adopter who understands that she takes time to warm up to people. We enrolled Bebe into a Board and Train program in July to help her with this and work on her impulse control. She did great. She even earned several gold stars for loose-leash walking. Bebe is housebroken and crate-trained. We usually crate her at night and when we are away from home. She does well with no crying or barking.

Hi there, I’m Coal, a 5-year-old German Shepherd with a striking brown and black coat that’s as classic as it gets! I may look strong now, but it’s been quite a journey for me. When I was first brought to the shelter on 09/18/2024, I was in terrible shape—malnourished and weak. My previous situation led to a cruelty case, but thanks to the incredible care here, I’m finally healthy, full of life, and ready for a fresh start. Not to brag, but I’m as sweet as I am smart! I know all the essentials: sit, stay, shake, and lay down. With my gentle manners and big heart, I’m ready to be a loyal and loving companion. I haven’t been neutered yet, but that’ll be taken care of before I come home with you, and all my shots are up to date. You can find me waiting at cage #412, just ask for Coal (ID 662041).
