Story

Rae is approximately 5-1/2 yrs old, up-to-date on all shots, spayed, house trained and good with kids. We are not sure if she would get along with cats etc. She does get along with other dogs at doggy daycare, but does NOT get along with our other female German Shepherd that is high energy; therefore, It would be preferred she be an only pet. Our two dogs have had a total of 6 fights and the last one was the worst. Rae had to get stitches on top of her head so shes currently wearing a cone. She loves playing with her squeaky toys and fetching tennis balls and bringing them back. We are military and are moving overseas. Our housing will not be on base and only allows 1 dog. Even if they did allow more, we couldnt take her because the dogs fight and it is against the law to crate animals there. Rae is heart worm positive and will need treatment. We haven’t been able to start that because of the move and wouldnt have time to finish. Thanks in advance for reading!!

Meet Ella, she is 3-year-old and weighs 50 pounds and is full of potential to become the perfect dog. Sadly, Ella’s family was unable to keep her, and she now finds herself in the shelter together with Ollie, scared and unsure of her surroundings. They were surrendered on 11/27/24. While she’s shy and hesitant to sit, Ella’s love for treats hints at her willingness to bond and learn with a patient and understanding family. Ella is UTD on vaccines and heart worm negative. She will be spayed and microchipped before adoption. With time, patience, and a lot of love, Ella can blossom into the loyal and affectionate dog she’s meant to be. This handsome GSD is Thackery! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 11/27, and no one has come to reclaim him. Thackery is now keeping his paws crossed for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Thackery as friendly and intelligent. He is a little strong on leash, but some of that may be due to the excitement of only getting outside for a short walk once a day. If you have room in your heart and home for Thackery, please come meet him today! Thackery is approximately 4 years old, and he weighs 58 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and neutered; he will be microchipped upon adoption. Thackery did test negative for heartworms so that is great news! He is waiting patiently in run 832; his ID # is 6553.
