Story
Loves kids, good with cats and dogs Calling all active families!  Meet Misha, a 3-year-old, 70-pound black German Shepherd who’s as smart as she is stunning. This playful, eager-to-please girl is always up for a game of fetch, a good run in the yard, or some quality time with her favorite people and pup friends. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Misha is a social butterfly—she adores humans, dogs, and even cats! Just a heads-up: she gets very excited to meet new friends and might greet them with some enthusiastic chatter. But once she’s said hello, she’s all about being sweet and submissive. While she doesn’t need another dog in the home, she’d love a furry playmate to match her energy. That said, Misha isn’t all go-go-go—she’s perfectly happy lounging around between adventures.  Important Medical Info: Misha has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) and Atypical Addison’s Disease, meaning she requires daily medication and a strict feeding regimen (no sneaky treats!). Her EPI treatment can be costly, so she needs a family ready to manage her care long-term. The perfect home for Misha? &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 An active family with a fenced yard &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 A commitment to her medical needs &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Bonus points if there’s a playful dog sibling! Misha is ready to bring love, fun, and loyalty into the right home. Could that be you? Watch her in action here!  https://youtu.be/593gZO2Gyso  Age: 2-3 years   Weight: 70 lbs.  Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm negative; pleaase note medical care requirements above Temperament: Great with everyone, loves dogs, great with kids; ok with cats Training: House trained but needs bathroom breaks every 4-6 hrs due to her medical conditions. For questions, please email  ali.mentana@gmail.com     To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.February 20, 2025, 3:38 pm

Story
Luke is an active one year-old shepherd mix! I adopted him from the Atlanta Humane Society when he was just three months old and we started training right away. Luke is energetic and he loves the outdoors. We hike and go for long walks all the time! He is house trained, and he loves to cuddle. He is also crate trained and he does very well with other dogs and children. He loves to cuddle and rest in his big bed and he loves to train and learn new things with me. He’s never bitten anyone and he loves to chew on his chew toys. I am looking to rehome him in a warm and loving environment. I am a single person, so Luke is used to a quiet environment, but he also goes to daycare and he is around other people very often. He is such a loving dog, and I want to ensure that he goes to a great home where he will receive what he needs.

Story
Greetings! This is Okami! She is about to be 5 years old. Okami is loveable, huggable and full of energy. Okami is fully house trained and loves walks & treats. She is very intelligent and great at learning commands quickly. Okami loves, LOVES children. She is from a loving home of a 9 year old, a 1 and a half year old and a 6 month old, all of them love her dearly. They love to play dress up with Okami and she seems to love the attention. The home she is coming from is about to have 3 extra children apart of it, one of which is severely allergic to dogs. It was truly the only reason in the world we would ever think of having to find her a new home. If you have space in your heart to give her a loving home, we know you will cherish her as much as we do.

❗Current Location: in a local shelter in South Korea❗ • Rescue Story : Meet Hyonie👋 the sweetest gentlest soul! Hyonie was found in a park in South Korea at four months old in March 2022 and taken to a high-risk shelter alongside her two sisters. Luckily, they were saved right before euthanasia by the rescue team. While one of her sisters lives with a foster family, Hyonie is still in the crowded shelter, awaiting her forever family. • Personality: Affectionate, Submissive, Smart Hyonie may seem a little shy at first, but she is surprisingly a BIG cuddler to people, which means that all she needs is a little bit of time to open up in the beginning. She would thrive on affection as she loves to be petted all the time! She would be a great fit if you are searching for a cuddly pup. She learns things quickly as she is a food-driven smart cookie. You will definitely find training her a part of the joyful journey with her! • Affinity with -Cats: Not tested -Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs. She’s a submissive and gentle type of dog. -Adults/Kids: Good with adults / Unknown for kids • Shedding : 5-6 • Walking Manner : in training and improving! • Housetrained : Hyonie knows how to use pee-pads even though she lives in the shelter. She may go potty indoors (pads) and outdoors both when adopted. • Food Allergies : No. • Bathing/Brushing : Good • Bark or Howl : Barks a little bit toward strangers • Likes & Dislikes : She likes going for walks, playing with toys, and chewing stuff. / She doesn’t like being kept in confined spaces. • Health : She has had two of her toes removed due to blocked circulation of blood caused by blankets tangled around her toes. She's been fully recovered and now fine walking and jumping!

Story
❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ • Rescue Story : Meet Jinyea👋 This laid-back sweetheart was found wandering alone on a street in South Korea when she was just three months old. Sadly, she ended up in a high-risk shelter and on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, the rescue team stepped in just in time, giving her a second chance at life. After spending over two years in a private shelter, Jinyea moved into her loving foster home in December 2024. Now, she’s ready to find her forever family! • Personality: Affectionate, Adaptable, Calm Jinyea is a total lovebug—gentle and sweet with everyone she meets. While she might need a little extra time to warm up to men, all she really wants are some good pets! She’s also one of the most easygoing pups you’ll meet, with a mid-to-low energy level. At home, she’s happiest resting and taking it easy. Her resilient nature means she adjusts quickly to new environments, so she’ll likely settle into her forever home without a hitch. • Affinity with -Cats: She's curious about cats when she sees them on walks. -Dogs: Well-mannered and submissive around other dogs. She gets along well with the resident dog in her foster home. -Adults/Kids: Good with adults. For men, she might need a little extra time to warm up. / Not much interested in kids during walks • Housetrained: She's fully housebroken and does her business both indoors (pee pads) and outdoors. • Walking Manner: This girl is a dream on a leash—she walks gently and matches your pace. • Shedding: 5-7 • Food Allergies: No • Car Rides: Good • Barker or Quiet: She's very quiet most of the time except when she hears suspicious sounds outside the door. • Separation Anxiety: She howls for a few minutes right after her most intimate person goes outside and rests calmly. This gets better as she learns the family routine. • Bathing/Brushing: She's a champ when it comes to baths and brushing! • Likes & Dislikes: She likes to play with a ball! She adores snuggling up with cozy blankets and cushions. / Not a fan of being left alone! • Health: A very health girl!

Story
** Current location: in a foster home in South Korea ** Meet Silvia👋 Silvia’s story began when she was found wandering the streets of Paju at just three months old. In March 2022, she and her sisters ended up in a high-kill shelter. Thankfully, they were rescued just in time! While one of her sisters had a chance to stay in a foster home, Silvia spent over two years in a crowded shelter, waiting for her chance at a forever home. Now, she‘s eager to finally find a family of her own! • Personality: Sweet, Cheerful, Chill Silvia may be a little shy at first, but she quickly warms up and has a playful, cheerful personality! She can get along with men, as long as they approach her slowly. She loves squeezing between people’s legs for some extra affection! She can be a bit barky when she’s unsure and may nip if startled☝️ / Her energy level is moderate—she enjoys playing but also loves her naps. • Affinity with - Dogs: Silvia plays well with other dogs at the shelter! - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: She may be a big shy at first but becomes friendly to anyone including men quickly / Not tested with children. • Walking Manners: Despite her limited experience with walks, Silvia does amazingly well on a leash and follows along nicely! • Housetrained: She‘ll need work on potty training. We recommend regular walks to encourage outdoor potty habits over using pee pads. • Baths/Brushing: As for grooming, Silvia’s a star—she’s great with baths and brushing! • Car Sickness: Not experienced with cars yet. • Separation Anxiety: none • Barks/Howls: She occasionally barks at unfamiliar/scary things for her. • Appetite/Food Allergies: Eats good / No food allergies • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Likes/Dislikes: She likes to go under people’s legs! Also, she loves to play with tennis balls! / She is not a big fan of being confined in a small space.

Story
Hi there! My name is Storm! ’m a 7-year-old Black German Shepherd, and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m super sweet and loving, especially with people – you’ll be my best friend in no time! I bond with my humans very deeply and will be a devoted sidekick to anyone who gives me love. If you notice in my photos my eye looks a little different, it`s because I had a cherry eye repair! It does not bother me at all and doesn`t stop me from seeing or being the best girl! Just adds to my charm!I’ve spent most of my life outside, but now I’m ready for a warm bed inside and lots of love and I have been LOVING it in my foster home! I’m a little nervous at first, but I promise, once I trust you, I’ll be your most loyal companion. I might not do so well with other dogs or cats, so it’s probably best if I’m the only furry friend in your home. But don’t worry, I’m really good at being a one-dog show! I`m not reactive across the street or anything, I`m just a little nervous with other animals that`s all. I am a pretty laid-back sort of pup! I even do great left home alone, I simply lay by the door and wait for you to return. I have been perfectly behaved in my foster home, non-destructive, housebroken, and sleep soundly in my bed and even my crate with the door open. In all honesty, my foster doesn`t even crate me because she says I am so well behaved! I’m also pretty smart and gentle with people. I know I’ve got a lot of love to give, and I’m so ready to start this next chapter of my life. I have been loving the spoiled life in my foster home and am a professional remote worker assistant. My foster parents said I am such a good girl and learning so much - they said they are so proud of me. It means a lot to me. I am a pro at going potty outside and walk perfectly on a leash - no pulling here! I`m also super quiet. If you’re looking for a snuggly, loyal buddy who will make you feel special every day, I’m your girl! Can’t wait to meet you!
