Story
Meet Lily, a 4.5-year-old, 67 pound, lap dog. She's part German Shepherd and part Love Bulldozer. With her exuberant and affectionate personality, Lily will make you feel like the most important person in the world. She’s a moderate-energy dog who enjoys both roughhousing and cozy snuggles on the couch. Lily is at her best when she has both exercise and mental stimulation. Lily is fully house-trained and adores people of all sizes, but she would thrive in a home with older kids who can handle her playful, sometimes overly energetic, behavior. She’s great with other dogs when introduced slowly and carefully, but she’s untested with cats. While Lily takes a bit of time to warm up to new people, once she trusts you, you're golden! Lily is still perfecting her playtime manners and is learning when it's time to pause and relax. She’s a fan of bones, stuffies, and treats, making her training sessions enjoyable. Though she’s not fond of the crate, she can be trusted to be left alone in a room or basement with a Kong or chew toy for a few hours. Lily needs a home with a strong, experienced handler who understands German Shepherd traits and will be patient while she works on her reactivity. She would do best in a quieter home with fewer visitors. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who will be your steadfast friend, Lily might just be your perfect match! Story
Meet Gentle Spirit, the almost-perfect unicorn dog, who is on a heartfelt quest to find her forever home! This five-year-old beauty embodies sweetness and love, and she has just one unfulfilled wish: to share her life with a true companion. Gentle Spirit is a loving soul who thrives on connection and companionship. While she can be a bit choosy with her dog friends, she has a playful side that shines through once she feels comfortable. With the right introductions, she can blossom alongside another calm and friendly dog who enjoys a little playtime. Having overcome her past challenges, including heartworm treatment, Gentle Spirit is now a healthy 75 pounds and ready to embrace her new life. She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides, especially when they lead to tasty treats at Starbucks or Bruster's! This docile and quiet girl is a true velcro companion, preferring to be near her people and making an excellent home office buddy. She's house-trained and loves to sleep peacefully in the bedroom with her foster family. Though she might take a moment to warm up to new faces, treats are the key to winning her heart! Gentle Spirit has a gentle respect for cats and enjoys chasing birds and squirrels in the backyard, making a fenced yard ideal for her adventures. While she may not have been around young children, she has shown her gentle nature with older kids and has been fabulous with her foster mom's three-year-old niece. With her loving demeanor and playful spirit, Gentle Spirit is ready to fill your life with joy and companionship. Could you be the one to make her dream of a forever home come true? Come meet this gentle soul and see if you can be her true love! Story
Hey there,  I am Freyah. Thanks for checking me out!! I am a lovable, obedient and calm dog and terribly attached to my peeps. My foster parents say that I am the sweetest foster that loves attention but also is quiet when I am working. I am the perfect companion.    I love my little friend I live with (she is a Beagle) and she has taught a lot of things about living in a house and amongst people. I love to be outside and a fenced in yard where I can wander around during the day when my folks are busy. I love going for walks and car rides and am pretty much the first to hop into the car!!  I am not at all fussy about food and love almost anything you offer me! My foster parents are spoiling me silly and I show my gratitude by behaving and offering kisses and hugs!!    My only asks - Please don't leave me alone (at least till I am fully comfortable with my new surroundings). Also, I am still learning to be quiet on walks and not bark at strangers and other dogs out of excitement. You see, I am, after all, a Shepherd and I’m true to my protective nature. But I am learning fast, thanks to the love and support of my foster folks!!    From the Foster mom - Freyah is an absolute angel. She has been through a lot and has been misunderstood. She did come with a lot of ifs and buts, but I am happy to report that I see none of the problems that the previous owner reported.  We are working on her barking at dogs etc and she is responding beautifully to our training. It  seems like she has been in very stressful situations and I know with adequate love and care, she will be the best dog ever! She is amazing.        Please consider her. She deserves all the love she can get.      So, if you are looking for a largish dog that is obedient, healthy and loving that is out of the Puppy energy but loves going on long adventures with you, Freyah's your girl. See it to believe it!    For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue. *Some of our animals receive a high volume of applications, and we strive to select the best home for each animal. However, we have many wonderful homeless pets available.     Please consider her. She deserves all the love she can get and is sure to reciprocate            November 10, 2024, 6:43 pm

Story
MEET BUDDY!   This handsome and charming 3-year-old male German Shepherd is looking for his forever home. Buddy is sweet, smart, and playful once he is comfortable in his surroundings. He may have some reactivity towards new people and situations, but with patience and understanding, he quickly warms up and becomes a loving companion. One of Buddy's endearing quirks is his love for singing along with sirens. He also loves to bring his humans gifts such as table plants, remote controls, and oven mitts. Buddy is crate trained and housebroken, making him an easy addition to any home. Buddy enjoys being active and exploring his surroundings. He loves to go for walks and runs, and he would be the perfect companion for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors. He is also very intelligent and loves to learn new tricks and commands, making him a great candidate for continued training and socialization. While Buddy gets along well with people, he needs to be the only dog in the household due to his potential reactivity towards other dogs. He is up to date on all his vaccinations and has been neutered. If you are looking for a sweet, smart, and playful companion who loves to sing and bring you gifts, then Buddy could be the perfect match for you.  We want to make sure Buddy goes home with the right family! An approved application, personal references, vet check including  annual exams, continuous heartworm prevention, meet and greet, and a home visit are required for adoption. Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. Story
Aubrey is a loving and affectionate Anatolian/German Shephard Mix. She&#39s 70lbs, and 2yrs old. This intelligent girl knows multiple commands (sit, down, stay, wait, place, come), and is house trained and crate trained. She has stayed in her crate for up to 7hr during the day and has done well. Aubrey gets along well with other dogs- she will play for short periods then wants to hang on her own. She has wonderful leash manners, and is easy to take on walks. She is a high energy girl, so staying busy doing doggy puzzles, playing games, or working on her training is an important part of her day to day life! Aubrey would do well in a multi dog home with small introductions. Aubrey loves to go for car rides, and enjoys having a job! She would do well in a family that gives her direction, daily structure, and continued training. She&#39s met older kids and has done well, probably no small kids due to her size. Aubrey does have a high prey drive and loves to chase squirrels, so no kitties for this girl. Barkville rescued Aubrey in January 2022 when she was emaciated and pregnant with 13 pups. Her pups were all adopted, now it&#39s this girls turn to find her forever family! Her current foster Mom is a dog trainer and will provide her adopters with guidance on Aubrey&#39s training, and discounts on future training for this special girl. As part of the adoption process for Aubrey, an adopter will be expected to have a two hour training with her foster mom. Aubrey is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. For more information about Aubrey, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.November 3, 2024, 9:25 pm

Story
Hey y'all, meet Odin! This resilient pup has come a long way since his rough start in life. Rescued from a situation of abuse, Odin ended up in a shelter a couple of years ago where we met, fostered, and eventually adopted him. Despite his past, Odin has blossomed into a gentle and loving companion. He's always up for an outdoor adventure, yet also knows the value of a lazy day of relaxation. We will also provide food and water bowls, cage with bed, a brush for managing his undercoat, food and a few toys. Unfortunately, we don't have the time anymore to give Odin the love he deserves so we're hoping to find him a new loving home.

Story
Meet Clyde! Ok, where are our GSD lovers?! Clyde is a 7-8 year old purebred German Shepherd looking for a true GSD person (breed experience required) to call his very own! Clyde is good with other dogs, although he’s lacking some doggy manners so he needs his friends to be patient with that while he learns. He would be great as an only dog though too! Typical of his breed, Clyde loves his person above all else so he has a take it or leave it kind of attitude towards dog friends.   Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: previous first hand ownership experience with purebred German Shepherds is a strict requirement to adopt Clyde ##1772045##

Born on 12/15, these absolutely amazing shepherd mix puppies have been waiting so long for their forever families to find them! We didn’t see either of the parents but we were told mom was a purebred black GSD and dad might have been some sort of boxer mix. Meet Gavin!    Gavin and his siblings joined our RMG family in early 2024 when they were only about 6 weeks old. We didn’t see either of the parents but we were told mom was a purebred black GSD and dad might have been some sort of boxer mix. No matter their breed make up, though, these guys are sure to make wonderful additions to a few very lucky families!   Gavin is a smart and loving guy who would excel with his own person to devote all of his attention to. Being half GSD, loyalty is in his blood! His brother, Gulliver, is actually in training to become a service dog! Gavin is great with all dogs and loves water. He truly would make an amazing adventure buddy to go hiking and exploring! Interested in adopting?
