Story
If you are looking for a loyal and loving pup, then Bebe is your gal! She loves to give hugs and kisses! We adopted Bebe from Dekalb Animal Shelter in April 2024. She had raving reviews from the shelter and was a fan favorite. Bebe gets along great with our 2 year old toddler. She is very gentle with him and does not knock him over. Bebe is great with me and my husband. She and my husband are best friends. However, Bebe is protective and selective of the people she is friendly with. Bebe will need and adopter who understands that she takes time to warm up to people. We enrolled Bebe into a Board and Train program in July to help her with this and work on her impulse control. She did great. She even earned several gold stars for loose-leash walking. Bebe is housebroken and crate-trained. We usually crate her at night and when we are away from home. She does well with no crying or barking.

Story
Otto was born late January of 2024. He spent several months in the shelter before my elderly father feel in love with him. Otto is the sweetest dog. He wants to cuddle and hug everyone. He was well loved by my parents, but he did not receive much training until I took him in early September when my Mom's health took a turn for the worse. Otto is now house broken. He does not sleep in his crate at night. Otto enjoys Doggie Daycare. My older dog, however, is a one person dog that does not play with other dogs. She is small and is not responding well to Ottos playful energy. Otto wants to be with the family and responds wonderfully to praise. He will walk on a leash and come when called.

Story
Hi there, I’m Coal, a 5-year-old German Shepherd with a striking brown and black coat that’s as classic as it gets! I may look strong now, but it’s been quite a journey for me. When I was first brought to the shelter on 09/18/2024, I was in terrible shape—malnourished and weak. My previous situation led to a cruelty case, but thanks to the incredible care here, I’m finally healthy, full of life, and ready for a fresh start. Not to brag, but I’m as sweet as I am smart! I know all the essentials: sit, stay, shake, and lay down. With my gentle manners and big heart, I’m ready to be a loyal and loving companion. I haven’t been neutered yet, but that’ll be taken care of before I come home with you, and all my shots are up to date. You can find me waiting at cage #412, just ask for Coal (ID 662041). I can’t wait to meet my new family and show you how incredible a second chance can be! Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Hi everyone! My name is Genesis! I was out on an adventure hoping to find my way home or to even find a home that will welcome me in but someone thought it would be best if I was taken somewhere safe and so I was brought to the shelter on 10/28. I didn't have a name so a kind volunteer named me Genesis. I am told it means "beginning". I am looking for a new beginning with a new family, A fresh start in life as I am still pretty young. I must be a pretty s. pecial pup to earn such a name so hopefully I can win your heart and convince you to make me apart of your family. The volunteers describe me as very sweet, cute as can be, energetic and playful. I can also sit for treats pretty nicely so I am a smart little boy if I do say so myself. I am pretty calm despite being in a loud shelter. I am looking for a loving home who will love me, keep me safe and keep me engaged in activities so I will never have to go back to a shelter ever again. A nice fenced in backyard would be ideal for me so I can burn all the energy I have. Maybe take me on adventures like hiking, the beach, anywhere as long as I am with you. Let me be apart of every milestone you experience. You know like moving. Please help me find my way home to you. I will repay you with all the kisses, hugs and snuggles you could ever ask for. I need you now more than ever! Genesis is current on vaccines, will be neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested upon his adoption. Genesis is just 10 months old and weighs in at 69lbs. He is small but will probably grow into a medium to large size pup. He has a heart of gold and wanting to share his love with you. If you are looking for a playful, energetic pup to brighten your day and your life, then Asher is the guy for you! He is in Run 50 and his ID# is 5786 Please keep in mind that puppies are a lot of work, time and patience, make sure you are able to give this special boy the life he richly deserves.
