Story
Meet Cosmo: Please call 917- 842-7062 if interested. This sweet boy needs a home that has plenty of time for walks or a fenced in yard. He's still a pup, but he is house trained and potty trained fully. He is also crate trained and sleeps well in his crate for bed time or when left at home unattended. We have noticed that he may be sensitive to certain kind of meats/dry foods. But, since being on a brand called Redford Naturals Limited Ingredient Diet-Lamb and Sweet Potato recipe, his stomach has been agreeable and he's been happy. He's sweet and gentle around children all ages. He will bark at strangers, which makes him a great watch dog! All in all, he's a very sweet boy who needs a home that can provide more outdoor space and time.November 7, 2024, 10:21 am

Story
I got the dog from a friend when he was 2 months old. Went to obedience training when he was 5 months old. The dog react aggressive to other dogs. He also can react aggressive when meeting people until he gets to know you. After he knows you, he's your best friend. I moved to a house and I can't keepo the dog any longer. He spends the time in the basement.

Story
ABOUT ZYA This gorgeous girl is Zya! She was surrendered to us when her owner could no longer keep her. Dogs that have lived in homes previously typically have some training established, but we cannot guarantee that those behaviors will remain consistent in a new home environment. Zya appears to know a few basic commands such as sit and paw. Although she can be a shy girl, she loves to give hugs and kisses and try to make some new doggy friends. Zya is still learning how to socialize, so she would benefit best from someone willing to be patient and understanding while she adapts to her surroundings. If you are looking for a sweet, smart, and beautiful girl to take home and love forever, Zya could be the one for you! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
ABOUT MARLEY If you love shepherd personalities, then this girl is for you! Marley is a 4-year-old Shepherd mix with the biggest brain and an even bigger heart! Marley came to HAP from a local rescue group in New Jersey when they no longer had space for her. Whether you have toys or treats, Marley is eager to please. She already knows many commands, such as 'sit', 'paw', 'down', 'stay', 'other paw', and 'come'. She also appears to be house-trained and walks very well on a leash. Occasionally, she may bark at the other dogs walking through the kennel areas but is easily redirected with a toy. Marley absolutely loves stuffed toys, prancing around with them any chance she gets. She also enjoys playing fetch in our fenced fields to get some fun exercise. After play, she is quick to nestle into your arms for cuddle time! **Marley can be selective of her doggy friends. If you have a pup at home, we would do a meet-and-greet before adoption to ensure everyone gets along well! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. His last rabies shot was January 30, 2024. He is due again January 30, 2027. He is very active and loves to chew everything. He is OK with older children, but aggressive with young children. We now have several younger children. And are expecting another great grandchild. He needs a lot of room to run and play.
