Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 December 19, 2024, 5:26 pm

Story
I am looking for a good home for my sweet dog Bear. I got him over a year ago with my partner. Unfortunately, this person is no longer in my life and left me with this sweet dog. I am unable to give him the attention he deserves or afford him at this time. He is a good boy and LOVES fetch. He will play fetch for hours. He has a lot of energy so loves to play outside and run around. He is crate trained. Can go long stretches without needing to be let out for those people that work full time. Truly a sweet boy that just needs some love and attention. I can provide the crate I currently have for him, his dog food container, and his chuck-it. He does like to chew things if he has pent up energy so I would definitely advise crating him if you leave him alone for an extended period of time.

Story
Dog Name: Halle Breed: German Shepherd/pittie mix Sex: Female Age: 7 month Weight: 25 lb and growing Medical Needs: Spay. This must be completed by the end of February 2025, and is scheduled through Grass Roots Rescue. Spay/Neuter appointments can be requested for Georgetown, Dover, Wilmington or Newark. We will request the appointment at the location most convenient for the adopter. Foster to adopt families must understand we are given dates and whatever date their dog is assigned by the clinic, is the date they will be required to keep. Because the spay is still pending, adopters must live within an hour of one of the locations listed above, and must be willing to travel there for the appointment. Housebroken: Yes. Has used a dog door to go in and out as needed. Crate trained: Yes. Enjoys her crate. Goes in easily for naps and meals. Good in the car: Yes. Lays in the back seat. Good on a leash: Yes Energy level: Medium to high. She's a typical puppy; play hard then sleep hard. Need a fenced in yard: No, but needs to play and run. Dog Friendly: Yes If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Yes. Would benefit from having a companion to learn from. Cat Friendly? Unknown. She has had one interaction with a cat. Kid Friendly: Unknown. No kids in foster home. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? I would suggest older kids. 13+ Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Halle is a sweet loving puppy. She loves to cuddle up after getting out her energy. She loves to chase a ball and chew. She can often be found in her crate with blanket if you are not available for snuggles. She is wary of new people and takes a minute to warm up to you, but once she does, she considers you her friend. Fosters Location: Georgetown, DE Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app) ##2250423##
