Renegade has spent years waiting for his forever home! This special boy will be an amazing companion for an experienced, dog-savvy handler. Could it be you? Rennie simply loves to play in the water. He's had a lot of training and knows Sit, Shake, and Lay Down. He walks well on leash too. Renegade is great with other dogs of all sizes, although he does prefer to be the top male dog. He warms up quickly and once he does he's attentive and easy to work with. Call the Ranch to meet this handsome boy today. Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       November 6, 2024, 10:05 pm

Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.   Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All puppies are also microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch.   We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required), and a portion of the cost will be refunded.

Story
Poppy is loyal, sweet, and goofy with the people who she knows and loves. She likes to play and sprint in open fields. She knows basic commands like sit and is working on learning other commands. She is very food motivated, which helps with training. Poppy needs fenced open spaces to run off her energy, and she’d do very well with a job guarding property or people. Poppy has never harmed anyone, but she has a strong bark that can be intimidating. She takes guarding duties seriously! In general, she gets along well with other dogs, but she wants to chase cats and other small animals. We acquired Poppy about a year and a half ago when she was a puppy because her original family lost their home and had to move into an apartment. At the time, I had a remote job and could make sure Poppy got the time outside running around that she needed. My job situation has changed. I want Poppy to find a home with folks who can help her run free as often as possible.

These pups are in Yreka, California too!
