What to say about this pup. Ranger has been my special project for 5.5 years now and he has been dealt a rough hand. Abandoned in an apt years ago I took him in to save him from an uncertain fate. He had obvious abuse and was/still is very wary around men. His second life was full of learning moments, showing him love and a good life. This was successful until a few months ago when a severe illness took away the use of his back legs and now his mobility is reduced to my ability. He loves rolling around in his wheelchair, head scratchies, and his squeeky toy. The brutal reality is that I cannot lift him without assistance or move him around enough to save him from the bedsores. I can’t bare to have him put down when he has so much life in him still, but he needs a carer with the resources and space to attend his level of needs. He is great with females and other dogs. His new mobility issues makes him feel more vulnerable and so homes with inexperienced males are not the best for him.

We adopted Maddie when she was 10 months old. We lived in Chicago at the time, and she has moved with us to Texas and now California. She does well with other dogs when living together but not so friendly when meeting dogs on her walks. She has lived with cats for about a year and had no issue. Currently, Maddie is 11 years old and is still active. She is a very smart dog and was professionally trained in Chicago. We would like for Maddie to continue receiving love; she is a great companion. She does require some space to stretch and play. We can no longer afford to keep her and we are allowed about one week to find her a new home.

Nala is a loving, intelligent 4-year old German Shepard. I have owned her for 2 years and she is an amazing family member. Unfortunately, I am senior and have worsening health problems that are requiring me to move somewhere I can have fulltime care, and I will not be able to keep Nala with me. I am heartbroken and hope to find her a wonderful new home. She loves greeting her family members, she gets along great with new people, she can sense your mood and wants to cheer you up if you are having a tough day. She loves going on walks, retrieving sticks or balls that you throw, and wants to cuddle. She would do well with a family or an individual. She has not lived with another dog before, and gets overly excited sometimes when she sees one on a walk. I had her take a 5-week training course to work on leash commands and be great on walks. She has had all shots and great vet care.
