Story
Meet Dax Shepard. This big, handsome boy has a bigger heart and a tail that wags his whole body. He was surrendered by his owner, networked to us from Shafter and has settled in well at the farm. Dax is happy youngster who can be picky about his dog friends but is yet to meet a person he doesn't like. He is affectionate around people and is very happy to stand with his head in your lap waiting for pats and scratches. He has high energy, balanced with a gentle nature and we think he will make an extremely loyal companion. If you are interested in meeting this armchair expert wanna be, complete an adoption application and schedule a meet & greet. Adoption donation $495.

Story
Sherman "Sheppy" joined us from the Fresno Humane Society and has been a cherished part of our rescue family. He is a loyal and affectionate friend. Sheppy is good with everyone he meets, showing kindness and patience to adults and children. He gets along fine with other dogs, though he prefers the company of calm and gentle dogs over big, bouncy ones. Sheppy is an older gentleman, which means he brings a sense of wisdom and steadiness that younger dogs may not. He does have a prey drive, so no cats or dogs under 20 pounds. He can be leash reactive, so he would NOT make a great dog walk around the city. If you want to give a sweet senior a forever home, have a nice yard for him to supervise you while gardening and lay on your feet on a cold winter night; he's your guy. Apply today; he's been with us far too long! Meet this wonderful older gentleman and give him the forever home he deserves.

Story
This animal is available at: Sonoma County Animal Services (707) 565-7100 PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT NORTH BAY Nikita A425475   Located At: Sonoma County Animal Services   Description: I am a spayed female, brown and black German Shepherd Dog mix.   Age: I am estimated to be about 2 years and 1 month old.   Weight: I weigh approximately 87 pounds.   More Info: I have been at the shelter since Mar 24, 2024.   Say hello to Nikita! This beautiful shepherd is a very people-oriented pooch, who can’t wait to get into a loving home. Nikita just wants to give all her love and affection to humans! She seems to prefer people rather than dogs, as she was avoidant when meeting a young female shepherd and doesn’t like dogs in her face. She acts a bit like a momma dog, giving corrections to annoying dogs. She allowed a male pit bull to approach her after a long introduction, but was tense and didn’t seem to enjoy it. We recommend Nikita be the only dog in the home. She will make a great student for learning more obedience and leash training. She does not guard her food and pulls moderately on leash. Adopt Nikita and experience the joy of a loyal, loving, and intelligent companion.  For more information about this animal, call:Sonoma County Animal Services at (707) 565-71001247 Century Court, Santa Rosa Tuesday - Saturday12:00 - 5:00 p.m.Adoptions are processed until 4:30 p.m.October 27, 2024, 11:17 pm
