Hi there, I’m Olaf, and just like my namesake, I *love* warm hugs! But, if I’m being honest, I like to take my time getting to know new people first. Once I feel safe, I’m a loyal and loving companion, but slow introductions help me feel comfortable and build trust. My rescue family is helping me gain confidence, and they remind me that even humans sometimes need a little time to warm up—so I think I’m in good company! Oh, and about my ears—apparently, they bounce when I walk! I can’t see it myself, but I hear it’s *ridiculously* cute. When we meet, you’ll have to let me know what you think! I’m an active guy who loves to play ball, go on adventures, and enjoy long walks—especially with a dog buddy by my side. But I also know when it’s time to settle in for belly rubs and snuggles. I’m as playful as I am affectionate, and once you’re in my circle, you’re in for a lifetime of love! I’ve been working on some good manners, like waiting at the door before walks, getting comfy in my crate, and I already know the basics—sit, come, and more. Now, full disclosure—I sometimes *think* I’m a lap dog. I may not be tiny, but I just love being as close as possible to my humans. If full-on lap snuggles aren’t your thing, don’t worry—I’ll happily rest my head on your feet while you relax on the couch. Life is meant to be shared with those you love, and I have *so much* love to give once I know you’re my person! Barnabas (Barney) is an affectionate, playful 8-month-old shepherd/husky mix who is ready to be someone’s best friend. He’s the kind of dog who greets you with excitement, loves to go for walks and play fetch, and then happily curls up next to you for cuddles. He is smart, food-motivated, and eager to please — which makes him very trainable and fun to work with. Barney already knows how to sit, stay, lie down, and come when called, and he’s been taking training classes at Zoom Room in Lakewood. He’s also great with other dogs and cats, and his shots are current. He would do best in a home where he gets love, attention, and some daily activity — he’s a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys walks, playtime, and having a loyal dog by their side. Barney is still a puppy, which means he has lots of love and personality to grow into, but he’s already showing what a gentle, affectionate, and devoted dog he is. He’s ready to be part of a forever family.

Kai was my grandfather's loyal companion for the past 8 years. Unfortunately, my grandfather passed away suddenly in October of 2025. I've temporarily fostered her since then however due to my work travel schedule I'm unable to adopt her permanently. She is a well-trained dog on or off leash. Loves the beach or dog parks. No issues with social interactions and loves to play with other dogs. House trained and can swim proficiently. I have her entire medical history available for her future owners. Great family addition that deserves a warm loving home.

Hades, named after the Greek God of the Underworld, is a fun loving, playful, very affectionate and high energy German Shepherd. We initially adopted him from a friend at 6mos and have been caring for him ever since. He is currently 6 years old, and at about 110lbs, he still loves to be active and playful. He has a very good temperament and adapts well to children and new faces once he is introduced. He is house trained well, and understands basic commands. We are hoping someone experienced with German Sheperds or a family or couple who can give him the activity and loving attention he needs would find an opening in their home for him. She’s highly intelligent, learns very quickly, and responds well to guidance and structure. She has a big, fun personality and would thrive with an active individual or family who enjoys regular exercise and mental stimulation. While she loves being with her people, she is also independent and does very well when left home alone. A home without young children is recommended. She would be an excellent fit for a single adult or couple, or a family with older children, ideally with a yard and a commitment to continued training and structured activity. She is loyal, affectionate, and smart, and truly wants nothing more than to be close to her people.
