Story
The sweetest boy ever....that's our Taz! This handsome fellow is Taz and he is a 2 year old, 48lb mini Shepherd. Yes, that's right....a mini Shepherd. He is petite and low to the ground...such a perfect size and such a perfect dog! We believe he might have some Corgi in him...who knows? Taz was rescued off the streets in an area that is well known for dog dumping. Thankfully, a wonderful woman got him to safety and into a boarding facility. We knew that was no place for such a wonderful little dog, so we got him out and into our foundation. He is new to us and we are learning more everyday, but from what he see...he is the best! We definitely want him in a home with another friendly and good natured dog. Owners that are not gone long hours during the day would be ideal along with a home that has a safe and secure backyard. Taz would do great with owners that are patient, loving, and will give him the time he needs to feel safe and loved. All of our vet staff are in love with him and having nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Taz is one of those very special dogs that deserves an equally special forever home! Taz is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Story
Shya is a 1 year 3 month old petite shepherd mix, weighing about 28lbs. She was found as a stray and taken to a shelter where she was due to be euthanized, but was saved by an emergency foster at the last minute. She now needs her forever home as soon as possible. Shya is very sweet and loving, but timid and scared (submissive, non-aggressive), and needs someone with time and patience to help her learn to trust again. She settled into her foster home within a couple of hours, and is very playful with her foster mom. She loves cuddles and belly rubs! She does suffer from separation anxiety, and will need to be helped through this. Shya gets on well with other dogs. Submissive and cautious at first, she loves to chase and be chased by small dogs, or dogs her own size. Wrestling is also great fun! She is good with large, chill dogs, but scared of boisterous dogs, or dogs that bark continually. Her adoption fee will be donated to Paws For Life K9 Rescue in Mission Hills, CA.

Story
Hi, I'm Goose. I had a hard start in life and was very isolated from the world in a yard with my siblings and parents, so I am tentative about new situations. I need a little time to warm up to new people, other pets, anything unfamiliar but I have enjoyed the company of a small dog, a cat, and the neighbor's young children at my previous home. Due to some neglect during puppyhood, I have some deformation on my front leg but I get around just fine, and my vet said not to mess with it because it's functioning and I'm not in pain. As is typical for my breed, I am quite intelligent. I catch on quickly to what you are asking of me and I am eager to please you. I am also very loyal and I will bond very deeply with my forever family. I would like to find a family that will let me live inside with them and give me lots of love and exercise for the rest of my long life. I hope it's not impossible. Will YOU consider me? If you are interested in meeting Goose, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Goose is 4 years old and weighs about 80 lbs.] (1808/2206)

Story
I have heard people call me beautiful. What do you think? I might be a bit older in "dog years," but I’m happy to say that I’ve still got spunk and energy. As is typical for my breed, I am very smart. I also bond very quickly with whomever I identify as my “person.” Not only will I actively seek out love and cuddles but I will also be protective of you. I am still learning to be okay with being left home alone and to relax while walking on a leash but I am very responsive to re-direction, correction and guidance. I love chew sticks, balls, and other toys, but right now, I still take time to get used to a new environment, so I often will put down a toy or ball to come over and get more hugs, scratches, and cuddles, and just check in. I will make a deeply loving companion to anyone who might adopt me, and I think I am well worth adopting! If you are interested in meeting Phoenix, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.[Phoenix is about 8 years old and weighs 65 lbs.] (2302)

Story
I was a street dog in South LA without a collar or microchip, but a kind lady has been taking care of me, so I'm now healthy and happy! I'm vaccinated, parasite free and microchipped. I love playing with other dogs, so if you need a playmate for your dog that’s me. I also love kids, especially little girls, and I'm okay with cats. A backyard to run around in would be awesome, especially with a kiddie pool to play in. I'm potty-trained, I know how to use a doggie door, and I'm not destructive, but I do like to snoop. I'm still learning my manners. I can be talkative at times to get my way. I’m great on a leash and enjoy walks. I’m learning basic tricks: to heel around the person, make a circle, sit, and lay on command for my treat. I enjoy meeting new dogs to play with and love meeting people and giving kisses and receiving tummy rubs. You can take me anywhere because I am well-mannered when people meet me! I’m an old soul in a puppy’s body, and I’m very sweet, loving and happy! Whoever adopts me will be extremely happy they did, once we get to know one another. If you are interested in meeting Lenny, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Lenny is about 6 months old and weighs 42 lbs.] (2408)

Belle is a big ball of love who wants to be the star in your life! Her foster describes her as "loving, sweet, [...] absolutely perfect and very well behaved." She knows basic commands, is house trained, and can be left home alone without issues. Belle tends to bark at other dogs while out on walks, but her attention is easily redirected with treats. She's a smart girl who wants to please and connect with her person. Belle is great with children and loves anyone she meets. She is a gentle giant who just wants to cuddle up with you or bring you her toys when it's playtime.

Story
Hi! I’m Pee-Jay, a friendly guy ready to find my forever home. I was saved from West LA and might need a bit of arthritis treatment, but that doesn’t stop me from being the sweetest pup around! I love rolling over on your lap for cuddles and can’t get enough of belly rubs. My amazing foster says I’m gentle, calm, and a great listener. We enjoy car rides, playing fetch, and politely greeting everyone we meet on our walks. I’m looking for a loving home where I can relax and enjoy life with you. If you’re ready for a loyal companion, I can’t wait to meet you! 🐾❤️
