Story
FOSTER CARE! Hello, my name is Bebe and I'm a 4 year old, spayed, smooth German Shepherd/Pitbull mix that currently weighs about 54 lbs. I'm an affectionate girl that starts off on the timid side. Once I'm comfortable, I enjoy belly rubs and daily walks! I'm hoping for a quiet home that understands that I am a wonderful, but sensitive lady who will need time to adjust into a new setting. Once I'm settled, I'm the epitome of good etiquette. I am calm and demure, most of the time. I've been known to be a fence climber when I want to be with my people. I love the game of chase! Especially with small critters like birds and squirrels so I prefer to be the only pet in the household. My foster family says I'm crate trained (I sleep there at night) and I've had minimal accidents in the house. I'm also a pro at sitting for treats! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Bebe! ID# A946402 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. Story
Well, hello! My name is Hershey, a 9-month-old, spayed female German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who currently weighs around 55 lbs. but will most like be 74 to 90 lbs. as an adult. I'm a silly, rambunctious girl that is a little uncertain on how to make doggy friends so I'm hoping to continue working on my social skills and impulse control with an active, loving family. I can't wait to meet everyone in the household including any resident dogs before I head home.  Hershey ID# A955664 I recently spent time with a volunteer! Here's how I did: I took Hershey out for the first time today. She was really eager to get out. Luckily the yard was available because this girl LOVES to fetch and LOVES the water! She ran happily in the yard chasing balls and splashing around. She knows drop so it’s easy to trade balls and keep her running. I also took her for a walk. She needs some work on leash manners but did not pull really hard - probably due to running zoomies before! She is affectionate.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
I found Summer at the pound. She is a super friendly, loving and affectionate girl. When were at home, she normally just lays somewhere near or cuddles up on the couch. She loves her walks and is very good with other dogs. She isn't bad with cats, she just doesn't realize her size and is super ready to greet them, thus the problem I have. My cats are terrified of her, and even tho she hasn't attempted to bite one, she just wants to say Hi too energetically. I dont recommend a home with cats unless the cat is already familiar with big dogs and won't tend to run. Otherwise, she has been a blessing, she is probably the sweetest girl I have met and needs to find someone with lots of love to give.

Story
Beautiful Raven is about 3 years old. I rescued her 2 years ago in Austin Texas. She is an absolute joy and lovessss her humans. She is extremely loving and loves to give kiss attacks. I am destroyed that I have to find her a new home but I will take the time to find an amazing one for her because she truly deserves it. She is great on a leash and knows a lot of commands as I trained her for a year. She is good off leash as well as long as she has on a certain collar. She loves to go to the dog park and sometimes will go after the ball however she gets tired after about 10 minutes. I just got a new job that has taken me traveling every week which I never thought was going to happen. Raven deserves so much more than a momma that is gone all the time. I hope to find her a loving home that loves cuddles and German Shepherds.

Story
Cooper is an absolute angel in the home (single adult). He literally runs to get his sweater on in the morning and loves cuddling, wrastling and his own fetch/tug hybrid that he’ll happily teach. Cooper’s problem is outside the home, where he is strong, smart and anxious, with a high drive to protect me. His leash reactivity is better with other handlers as he is less driven to protect them but it can be intense given his 80lb athletic build. He currently goes to daycare and can be handled by other people and dogs with careful introductions. He is muzzle trained and highly food motivated. He is also terrified of vets as techs have ambushed him in the past. He is up to date on all vaccines and is in good health aside from food sensitivities to chicken and dairy. Coopers’s breed, build, and anxiety make him a challenging case. He seems to have been shock collar trained which seems to have amplified his anxiety. I would love to find him a home outside the city where he could thrive.
