Story
Hello, This is Bear. He was abandoned at a pet hotel with his brother Oreo (a terrier). We were told that he bit the previous owner’s girlfriend’s dog so he could not keep them. We have tried to find him a home for a few months now but have been unsuccessful since he is not dog friendly besides with his brother Oreo. He is the sweetest boy though and is a gentle giant when it comes to people. He loves to play fetch with squeaky toys and wrestle with staff. He is so well behaved and is very obedient. He will even let us bathe him, including brushing, blow drying, cutting nails, and even painting his nails. We are trying to find a home for him or both of them as soon as possible as the owner of the hotel will send them to a high kill shelter near us.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**In order to get our large-breed dogs adopted, we asked for adoption sponsors to cover the adoption fees for a few of our big dogs, and Keary's fee is 100% sponsored by a Cause for SB Paws donor! Applicants are still subject to an interview, meet and greet, and it of course must be the right fit. But the adoption fee is covered!** Beautiful Keary has been in rescue for over a year!! She's one of our top priority dogs right now because she deserves a home of her own, and time is running out of time in her boarder/foster home! She acts like a big puppy who LOVES to play. She is high energy and extremely smart. She was a stray in the San Bernardino mountains for several weeks, and once Mountains Humane Society was able to trap her, she had to go into boarding due to no foster homes. They reached out to rescues, and because one of our fosters stepped up, we were able to take Keary into Cause for SB Paws! It took her about a week in her foster home to fully trust, but now she loves everybody. Keary likes to play hard and while she knows to be gentle around certain dogs, she would do best with another large, high-energy fur-sibling. She has a Shepherd working dog temperament, so she needs lots of mental and physical stimulation. She loves to play fetch, do puzzle games, chew antlers, and thrives in her training sessions. Oh and LOVES water! See her video. :) She's very loving and seeks pets and kisses, but doesn't often snuggle, because she's always on the go! Keary is looking for a large-breed loving adopter. An active home a must. Keary does well with the pre-teens in her foster home, but still jumps up a lot, so she could knock over small children. If you're the fun-loving active family Keary needs, we'd love to meet you! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi my name is Lana and I am a young shepsky mix. I am a total lovebug who would do best in a home with someone who can make sure I get daily exercise. I am a bit of an escape artist so I will need a home with a secure yard that has high fences. Nothing is known about my background unfortunately. I found myself on the euthanasia list at the shelter due to overcrowding. My foster parent’s best guess is that my owners didn’t come for me because I kept getting out of their yard. I am learning crate training and potty training and doing excellent so far. I am also learning basic commands and leash etiquette but will need someone willing to continue with training. I have shown some reactivity towards other dogs while on leash but my foster parents are working on building my confidence in new places. I have been tested with cats and did well but I do not live with them full time so a trial in a home with cats would be recommended before finalizing my adoption. I have done well with the foster dogs in my foster home so I will just need a furever parent who understands how to do proper introductions to new pups. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Leota (named after Madam Leota) is a shepherd mix pup, and she is now available to find her forever home! Leota is 12 weeks (DOB 12/21/2023) and is a sweet, snuggly, playful girl! She’s about 28lbs now and will be about 65-80 lbs fully grown. She also has a soft medium fur coat. Leota will be adopted on a spay contract. Leota is super playful, good with all dogs big & small, good with kids 5+, (I’m sure smaller kids too but needs to be taught to go easy/slower with babies/toddlers- we don’t have any here). No exposure to cats yet but was instantly good with a new puppy and a new 2 yr old pug so it’s possible! She would do best in a home with another youngish dog as a play companion or an active family. Leota likes to play a lot, take a nice nap, and comes to you for brief snuggles. She likes to nap, lay and sleep independently nearby. Leota is just learning collars & leash training so that will need to be continued in her new home. She is potty trained to an open sliding door in her current foster home. Looking for an experienced big breed owner for this beautiful shepherd mix! Training & socialization are super important for a big breed owner and will be absolutely need to be continued by a dedicated owner. Please remember - all puppies will need potty training and this one will still require that in her new home. No puppy is accident proof, so homes must be puppy-proofed & ready before pup adoption. cause4sbpaws@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 7:12 pm
