Story
Meet Little Bear! This gorgeous German Shepherd is only 10 weeks old but is growing incredibly fast. She is expected to be a large dog (maybe XL!) but is incredibly loving and loves to play with toys. She does a cute little spin when she is excited. In her foster home Little Bear is eager to learn and is working diligently on her potty training. She would love nothing more than to find a family to call her own. LB loves all people and gets along well with her foster siblings too. She will be a large dog so it is recommended that the adopter have experience with the German Shepherd breed. She will need space to run and play so apartment living isn't for her. Little Bear 's Adoption fee is $450 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations. To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-1233 To follow Little Bear on his journey to a loving family on SPOT's Facebook page, visit https://facebook.com/spotsavespets/ and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/spotsavespets/

Story
Greta is a wonderful 85 lb German shepard. She adores all people. She just turned seven and is very active. Loves to play and take long walks. Greta was adopted by my father from the Oceanside Humane Society. My father is in the middle of a major mental health crisis. He cannot care for a dog. Greta appears very healthy and energetic. Her vet, Dr. Moore, says she is in good overall health. She does have three health issues which seem very manageable. When Greta was adopted she had a horrible odor and much of her fur was gone. Dr. Moore suspected low thyroid and bacterial/fungal infections of her skin. Tests confirmed all of her suspicions. Since being medicated and receiving many baths with medicated shampoos, Greta's odor is 90% diminished. It may completely disappear with continued medicine and care. Her fur is starting to grow back in many places. Greta will come with 10 more months of Care Club pet insurance. We will also provide any needed medications for six months.
