Story
Hi, I'm Roo! I'm still young, full of energy and curiosity. I can be a little shy at first, but I promise I'm the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. I love to play, especially with other dogs. They help me come out of my shell and show my true playful nature. So, I really want to live with a family that has another social and confident dog who can teach me the ropes! I'm pretty tall already so dogs close to my size really make me happy. I might need a little time to warm up to you, but once I do, we'll be the best of friends. I've got a lot of love to give, and I'm just waiting for the right person to share it with. Adopting me won't just change my life, it'll change yours too. I'll bring joy, laughter, and a loyal companion to your life. So, what do you say? Are you ready to make a new best friend? ***ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED*** Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 61.2 Age: 0yrs 10mths 1wks

Although he can be a bit nervous during handling, he quickly warms up, seeking attention and affection by crawling onto your lap. While he may pull a little on the leash, his eagerness to connect shines through as he stays close to his humans. Bruce shows an interest in toys, though he hasn't quite figured out how to play just yet. With a healthy appetite and a friendly personality, he’s eager to be a part of a family. Bruce would thrive with some training to help him harness his energy and polish his manners. Though he is friendly, he can be a little pushy with his dog friends, so he may need some guidance and management to be his best self. Story
Marley is a 4 yr old, large handsome boy who is well trained and easy going. He is a genuinely a medium energy dog who does well with a few walks a day or a gentle jog. He'd prefer a mellow lifestyle as he loves to cuddle, nap on the couch (or on a dog bed), and hang out with his humans. He has no separation anxiety so if you need to leave him he's relaxed and happy in a crate. He's also fine not crated (has never destroyed anything) and uses a dog door. Marley is fully house trained, great in the car, and walks well on leash. As with many shepherds and herding breeds he has a strong prey drive, so a home without small children, small dogs or cats is best. He is well trained, but will need consistency and additional training to ensure that when his prey drive kicks in (squirrel on the path!) he takes his cues from you. His prey drive also surfaces when bicycles zoom past and he has a minor bite incident due to this. It wasn't aggression, just his deeply ingrained prey drive coming to the surface. This is a trait that can be suppressed through consistent training. Marley's foster told us that he is a love bug and knows the commands sit, down, off, up, stay, shake, hold, drop, and his heel release command is 'free.' They also felt that Marley would do great as an only dog or with a gentle female. If you love them big, loving, loyal, and eager to please then Marley is your boy! Come visit him at our facility, he's available for foster or adoption.
