Story
hi, my name is smokey! I love to play tug-of-war, I also love going for walks and adventures. Don’t get me started on car rides. I love hanging outside the window as if I’m flying like Superman. My temperament is very good around children. I sometimes get very excited around other dogs but after I get my zoomies and smelling out the way I calm down and go about my playtime. Smokey is a great loving dog and I want to rehome him to a home with preferably some acreage to where he can run around and have someplace to explore. I would like the owner to be there in present the majority of the time because he is relatively a needy dog and needs all the attention he can get. I unfortunately need to rehome and this was a hard and thought-out decision, he is a great dog and if it wasn’t under the circumstances with my living situation, then I would not be rehoming him.

Story
Caly is a beautiful, athletic young dog. Someone who is equally active would be best for her. She’s a sweet, good girl who loves to play fetch and get belly rubs. Her favorite fruit is watermelon. She loves going on walks. Once she gets used to you, she’ll follow you everywhere around the house ready for the next adventure. I just don’t have the time or funds to truly give her the life she deserves.

Story
We found Bella and have had her for a few months. We both got double the work load and she gets a little possessive around me with my other dog. We don’t know besides she was abandoned and has anxiety. I think she would thrive with someone as a solo pet and someone who can give her what her needs. I feel I’m making her suffer with more anxiety because my long hours. She has a very loving personality. Loves her head rubs and still figuring out what treats are. We have two other dogs she does well with and is learning how to play and such with them. She hasn’t shown any aggression towards me or our other pets or other dogs at dog park. She knows basic commands and we work with her. She is a sweet girl. Boyfriend has to work out of state and I have long hours so we just want to find her a good home with someone who will work with her and make her thrive. She is well loved and cared for here.

Story
Carlisle is in desperate need of a foster or adopter ASAP! Miracle dog and Stanislaus Survivor Carlisle is ready to be adopted. Carlisle sat in the shelter for over 2 weeks with no one willing to help him because his injury was pretty severe and expensive to fix. He fractured his L7 vertebrae. We think he is about 2 years old. We found the most skilled Neurosurgeon at VCA Referral Center and found a medical donor willing to take a chance on the surgery. There was no guarantee it would work, but Carlisle had such a will to live, we knew had to try. The Surgeon did not give up either and he decided to make it happen. So we pulled the boy and off he went to VCA for a $12,000 plus surgery. Carlisle has made a full and complete recovery! It is a true miracle. He has been in two foster homes and his current foster home can only keep him until the end of May. He should be an only dog for now. He is still intact, but his neuter will be done while in foster care, if adopted ( foster to adopt) or as soon as we can get him in for the surgery. Carlisle is great with kids and people. He is good on leash. He is not the best with other animals, seems to have a prey drive, so no small dogs or cats or farm animals. Female dogs his size or larger should be fine, but we will demand slow intros. He is so deserving of a home and we need a foster or an adopter for him ASAP! Interested in meeting Carlisle? Our adoption application will need to be completed and submitted. It can be found here: https://bit.ly/sacrdr-adoptionapp You can follow Carlisle on FB, Insta and TikTok using #sacrdrcarlisle
