Max is Greater Swiss and German Shepard, 6-7 years old, and he's the happiest dog you'll ever met. He will always greet you with a wagging tail and smile. He has a short easy to care for coat that does not matt. He loves to swim and has been learning to SUP Board and Kayak. Max would like to live where he can play in a pool. He's been living outdoors, in a yard with a patio, for past 3 weeks and has adapted to being a outstanding watch dog. He barks to alert, not to just make noise, and has kept the yard free for the Dreaded Squirrel Horde. In this time, he's learned to live and share with a small 12 lbs dog without initiating aggression. She, on the other hand, is a spitfire that has no "share" in her dictionary and eats out of his bowl with no regard. He wants to play but he's 10x larger than she is. Max lived with another large 115lbs dog for 4 years without major incidents. Max comes with his indoor kennel, life jacket, and outdoor Igloo.

Story

Fallon is a very sweet and kind girl. We adopted her over a year ago from a shelter. We were told that some type of abuse had happened to her unfortunately and it’s definitely left some scars. I’ve been working with her for a while but my schedule has recently become very busy. She is fearful of men especially teenage boys. She has no aggression, but will bark and hide or run away if she is scared. Other than that Fallon is truly a great dog, but needs someone patient and willing to put in work with her. She loves food, playing in water, and walks are her favorite part of everyday. Once she trusts you, she is so loving, loyal, and protective of her person. She needs someone (preferably woman) that either works from home or can spend lots of time with her. She knows sit, lay down, go to bed and shake. She can ring a bell on the door if she needs to potty. This is an extremely hard decision, but working 3 jobs and traveling I think she deserves more than I can give right now.

Carlisle is in desperate need of a foster or adopter ASAP! Miracle dog and Stanislaus Survivor Carlisle is ready to be adopted. Carlisle sat in the shelter for over 2 weeks with no one willing to help him because his injury was pretty severe and expensive to fix. He fractured his L7 vertebrae. We think he is about 2 years old. We found the most skilled Neurosurgeon at VCA Referral Center and found a medical donor willing to take a chance on the surgery. There was no guarantee it would work, but Carlisle had such a will to live, we knew had to try. The Surgeon did not give up either and he decided to make it happen. So we pulled the boy and off he went to VCA for a $12,000 plus surgery. Carlisle has made a full and complete recovery! It is a true miracle. He has been in two foster homes and his current foster home can only keep him until the end of May. He should be an only dog for now. He is still intact, but his neuter will be done while in foster care, if adopted ( foster to adopt) or as soon as we can get him in for the surgery. Carlisle is great with kids and people. He is good on leash. He is not the best with other animals, seems to have a prey drive, so no small dogs or cats or farm animals. Female dogs his size or larger should be fine, but we will demand slow intros. He is so deserving of a home and we need a foster or an adopter for him ASAP! Interested in meeting Carlisle?
