Story
Hello, we have had Sunnie since 3months old. She is very mature and smart. She loves to have some attention and then she can do her own thing. She loves walks and runs. She is still learning heel but knows over 8 commands. Sit, lay, roll over, play dead (by saying bang bang) come, leave it, drop it, and fetch. She has many very great qualities and needs a good backyard to play in. She tears up most beds unless it's very comfortable. We are possibly moving and have 2 other dogs as well. We don't have room for all 3 unfortunately. We love them all and want them all and have never done this before. We are conflicted about this, we feel it may be the best way for her happiness and are sad. But can answer any questions you have.

Story
Titan is a well trained, lovable dog who is very affectionate towards all adults. He loves being pet and will lean into you to get close. He walks very well on a leash(trained to stay on your left side; no zig zagging and tripping) and has great house manners. He is crate trained and enjoys being in his crate. Although he is a German Shepherd, he is not rambunctious and is on the lower, more relaxed end of the energy scale. He knows all commands: sit, stay, down, come, crate. He has also been trained to go to his crate when the doorbell rings and wait to be released to go out the back door. He can do tricks such as crawling and spinning in circles. He is reactive to other dogs and cats and gets anxious around young children. We have a newly mobile toddler which is why we are looking for a new home for Titan. Titan has a persistent dry nose and no known medical conditions. He is approximately 4.5 years old.

Story
Due to my busy schedule, I have to rehome my dog. I am looking for a family with kids that can treat Cosmo like a family member as well. I’m looking for somebody who can keep him inside but also let him out in a large backyard or space to play. I would prefer somebody who can take him on a trail everyday or has an acre of land so he can roam freely. He’s very energetic and loves to play ball. He has moderate hip dysplasia so I do minimal exercise with him. I walk 2x a day and play lots of ball. A tired dog is a happy dog 🐶! Cosmo’s very friendly and is not aggressive at all. He’s a very good listener. He loves being around people and receiving cuddles. He’s a very loyal dog and adapts to the whole family but will consider one person as his owner. He may come off as intimidating to some people due to his appearance but he’s really just a big friendly dog :)

Zarla is 2 years old and 55 pounds. This young gal is very wiggly and active! While she`s been in our care our staff and volunteers have worked with her to help build some foundational training skills. Zarla has been proven to be quick and eager to learn new things! She is food motivated and is familiar with hand targeting, sit, and active check-ins during walks. She`s gained a lot of confidence under our care and she`s ready to level up to her forever home! FospiceAdoption Fee: $100.00 Darlin is a sweet, black & red long-haired female shepherd. She is a lovely companion and aims to be with her people and checks in on all the members of her foster family. She enjoys car rides, road trips, and short walks. Darlin needs a home that enjoys her company and affection and that reliably give her daily medication. This lovely girl enjoys being inside and is well suited to the work-at-home lifestyle. She uses dog doors to enter the house from the yard, and is learning to use them to go outside. Because she doesn't want to miss out on anything going on indoors, she needs her person to periodically take her out to relieve. She is overall house clean and well-mannered indoors, and her foster family is able to leave her with access to the house unsupervised. If she does need to go out, she walks in circles to signal. Originally a stray, her estimated age was 6 years, although she is now feeling better and acting younger. Darlin is well-managed on medication for her thyroid and arthritis and had images taken at the vet that showed moderate hip dysplasia, arthritis, and spondylosis. She wags her tail when she greets people, even though a closer look shows that it is broken. She may do better in a household without many stairs required for daily use. She can climb two steps in her foster home and a flight on a road trip, and would do well with an environment that is easy to navigate. She can independently climb into a small car and climb up to sit in the back seat, and cooperates and helps when being loaded into a larger vehicle. To help clear skin issues, for now she is on medication, a prescription diet, and was recently professionally groomed and had her coat trimmed to its current short length. Note the attached photos show how she appears before and after grooming. She is becoming more active and fit, and although she weighs in at 93 lbs., her weight loss journey may show that she is closer to a 75-80 lbs. dog. She gets along with a well-behaved older male shepherd in her foster home and at another volunteer's home. She can manage to walk well in a group of shepherds, and can also be grumbly around puppies and animated, unpredictable dogs. A small verbal correction or slight tug on the leash helps her settle if she alert barks when meeting new people, new animals, and unusual things in her environment. She has lived with cats and young children from the age of 7 to 10 years. Unlike some shepherds, she is a fairly low activity dog that only needs short daily walks and that can be managed with a pleasant voice and flat collar. If you are looking for a sweet companion, Darlin could be your girl. This is a Level 2 Dog. Added April 2021 Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Adoption Fee:  $0.00 (Fospice) Nolan is a 2 year old Tripod who came to us last December.  We are looking for a permanent 'fospice' home for him, which means he remains a GCGSR dog and we pay his expenses.  Nolan loves to play with other dogs, but in March he began limping badly on his front left leg.  X-rays show that he has bi-lateral elbow dysplasia.  That leg has swollen to double it's size and has now atrophied where it is now stiff.  When it's really bothering him, he'll hobble on two legs.  You can see in the video, that that leg is very stiff and used more like a crutch. Nolan does best with another dog in the home, as he becomes very insecure without one.  He pesters the other dogs to play and doesn't know when to stop, which causes that leg to swell.   If the other dog doesn't play a lot and respectfully let's him know, he may stay calmer. Nolan is housebroken and does well inside.  He's affectionate and a nice boy.  He doesn't require long walks.  If you are interested in doing a fospice for Nolan, please submit our Adoption Questionnaire form specifying your interest in him as a fospice dog. Adoption Fee: $300.00 Teddy is a 2 year old black and tan boy who came from a local shelter so nothing is known about his background. Teddy weighs in at approximately 85 lbs but could add a few more pounds to reach an ideal and healthy weight for him.  Teddy is a little nervous when he encounters new situations, environments, or unknown dogs but warms up quickly if he is met with patience.  Teddy currently lives with another foster brother, Hatchling, and loves to play with him. Teddy also enjoys the company of female dogs and quickly took to the few he has met so far with us.  Teddy walks fairly nicely on leash and doesn’t seem to pull unless something really exciting runs out, like a squirrel. Even when he does find something intriguing, he is easily corrected and returns to walking nicely at your side. He is also housebroken with the use of a dog door.  Teddy was fittingly named after a teddy bear as he would be happiest cuddling up with his human at all times. He reluctantly sleeps in a crate at night in his foster mom’s room at night with minimal whines to come out and join now that he has settled into the routine.  Teddy would love a home with another dog, especially a female, to help build his confidence.  It is unknown how he would do as an only dog but might adjust if his humans was around a lot of the time.  Cats and small critters unknown.
