When we finally found and spoke to the family, they said they left the side gates open so Leona could go "free." Thankfully, Leona stayed put all that time. Leona is a beautiful 2-year-old spayed female pup who is laid-back, submissive, and friendly. She had lived all her life in the backyard, so we had to teach her everything from the beginning. After being in our foster home for a couple of months, she has blossomed into the sweetest companion. She’s affectionate, cuddly, calm, and happy, with a gentle demeanor. Leona gets along with men, women, kids, and both dogs and cats. She is smart and eager to learn, quickly mastering some basic commands. Leona has received a thorough vet check-up and has a clean bill of health. At 75 lbs, she’s fully vaccinated and has tested negative for heartworm, parasites, and other conditions. Leo is a sweet boy who we are disappointed that we can't keep. He is super sweet and loves being around people. Our pitbull has unexpectedly become territorial and therefore, they are not getting along. He has also shown some aggression towards cats and we have 5 of them. He is a young boy with a lot of energy who came from the shelter. With the proper training and attention, he would be the best dog. We are disappointed that we can't keep him as we have fallen in love with him but we are also determined to find him a good home. Freya is an incredibly sweet dog she loves to give hugs and kisses and just wants attention all the time. She needs to be with a family that can devote time to working with her. It’s been difficult to potty train her. We can’t afford her upkeep because my husband lost his job and I’ve barely been able to afford rent. It pains us to have to give her up. She’s become part of the family, but I don’t think she’s gotten the best care. She has an enlarged heart so anesthesia is difficult. She’s already been fixed (how we found out about the enlarged heart). We have a crate, toys, food and water bowls, and food to start you off with. I hope we can find her a loving home.

Unfortunately, we’re relocating out of state to live with relatives who already have several dogs, so we’re unable to keep him. Scout is looking for a good home where he’ll get the love and attention he deserves. He knows basic commands and has so much potential to learn more if someone invests time in him. He loves playing fetch, swimming, and is improving his leash skills for walks.
